When I was actually going through my own puberty (12, 13) I was trying to find and read everything I could on what was happening to me. I remember reading that on many boys their penis when erect will curve upwards a little bit, and this was normal because it helped "in being able to more easily insert the erect penis into the woman's vagina for intercourse".
