Hello everyone!

I'm Julie and divide living between Majorca and the UK. I'm 18 and live with mum and my sisters. Mum is British and my father is Spanish, but 2 years ago they split. It's been hard looking after my little sisters, but they are so sweet. Mum gets anxiety so I help her, too. I'm studying an online horticultural degree course. We have large greenhouses in Majorca and England so they give me practical work in addition to much study and reading. In summertime I work in Can Picafort resort to earn money, but I have a folk/rock band that's been established two years now. We perform on the island and in mainland Spain. Though I suffer quite awful anxiety at times, I love helping people. I hope to have a good time here.

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for asking, but I'm not great tonight.

One hour before our concert I got a phonecall that my mother was rushed to hospital. The cancer she's been on remission for the last 10 years has returned. Her consultant oncologist said she won't survive this time round because the tumour has 'woken' and spread. He said my mother is unlikely to be alive in the New Year.

This week she is going to moved to a hospice.
