2) the origins of it started in prison to let people know you where ready for some funtime!

I hate the feeling when my pants are sagging and half my underwear starts showing. I personally think it is trashy and very unfashionable. And of course, when I freeball that is very uncomfortable in public. I usually wear low rise jeans so they fit around my butt and still show (not to brag too much, lol) some of the sexy v-line of my waist. I think showing any more than 2 inches of your underwear is ghetto.
I mean come on, what would you rather look like? A hoodlum or a stud?

I read somewhere that when a teenager wears saggy pants, it's actually because they have feelings of repressed homosexuality and they subconsciously like the feeling of their ass being on display for other boys their age.

In my local neighborhood, I was at the store one day, and like five guys (who were sagging) were crossing the street, This street is actually a pretty busy street so they had to run to cross it. Most of them were pulling their waist bands trying not to let their pants fall down, and ones pants even fell all the way down.

It's not attractive or cool so I don't get the trend at all.

"Sagging" was used in the prision environment to let other inmates know who was/was not willing to "accept" from other inmates. So... there's your motivation to keep your pants around your waist. :)
