View Full Version : How do I know I started puberty?

It's been a few months since I started cumming, but I have got no hair on my body. My voice is still like a child's and my penis is 2 inches soft and 3.5 inches erect. I'm not growing at all ( stuck at 4.9) and on all levels except age I'm an 11 year old. So when do you guys think I should start to grow?

Likely soon, since you started cumming!
It is hard to say exactly when though, as it depends on your genetics.

It's started now you can cum. How soon, how fast and in what order other things will happen is when it will be. It's one thing I've learned here is your body will change when it's ready. And probably when you least expect it!

You're only 13 according to your profile so you have 4-6 years yet that a lot of things can change.
My voice only notably changed in the last 2 years.
As far as your penis, so is the worry of every teenage boy.
You're gonna be fine. You're already 3.5 inches hard at 13 which means you could likely end up between 5-7+ inches at the end of your growth.
Besides, hope more for girth than for length. Girls like girth a ton better. Better to be 5 in. and thick, than 7.5 and thin ;)
Also,
Growth spurts for the body in GENERAL, are to be expected. You preobably won't stay 4.9 for long.
You're gonna be good.
You're on the right track man.

I also started to ejaculate before I got my first pubic hairs and my voice stated to change within a year after my first ejaculation.

It's impossible to say, Jonathan. We all develop at different rates and sometimes a boy can't cum until he's a lot older than you. But you've definitely started puberty and you can be 100% certain that the whole of you will start to grow over the next few months and years. And your voice will drop too, either gradually or quite suddenly. So you have nothing at all to worry about.

Do you have pubes? And seeing that you said you had your first cum, it means you have started puberty. Also, try this puberty calculator (http://growingupboys.info/Calculators/TannerStage.htm). Also, your OP post says you are 11, but your profile says you are 13. How old are you?
Also, what do you mean by 4.9? Is that your height?

If you can already cum I would say you have already hit puberty

The fact that you have started cumming shows that you have started puberty. Assuming you are 11, then you are actually ahead of the game because a lot of guys do not start until they are 12/13. Chances are within the next two years you will really get a lot of changes.
What you can do is make sure you are eating rightly, staying away from drugs and alcohol and tobacco, and staying active.

You have started puberty if you are cuming. You will also notice your dick and balls start getting a bit larger and you will start getting slight pubes just above the shaft of your penis. Then you will know you are on your way through puberty.

If you can cum, i.e. ejaculate, not just have a dry orgasm, then you have definitely started puberty.
The way the puberty mechanism works is that the hypothalamus, part of the brain, starts to make more of a hormone called GnRH which in turn causes the pituitary gland (also in the brain) to make more of two more hormones LH and FSH. These two cause the testicles to wake up, start to make much more testosterone and also develop, including getting bigger, and start making sperm. All of the other changes, including making the liquid part of cum, happen because of the much increased level of testosterone.
So if you can ejaculate then your testosterone level has definitely gone up and that means the other changes that happen due to testosterone will follow. That includes all of the hair growth in various places, penis growth, voice change and the growth spurt in height.

If you can cum, you started. You just want it to speed up in all areas and i get that. You can do a puberty stage calculator or tanner stage test to get an idea of where you're at or you can just let nature take it's course since that's all you can really do anyway.

Alright, I took the test. I'm on stage 1.2 :(
Anyways, I'd like to clarify that I'm 13 (born 2004) but I just look like an 11 year old. (Though I've seen 9 year olds bigger than me.) I'm 4 feet 9 inches tall and as hairless as a baby. Also I'm gay so I don't worry about girls.

For sure you have started puberty. I would consider that your height mostly falls into the average of 11 or 12 year olds. Some people start puberty earlier, and during puberty height may increase as fast as 5 inches a year. I am sure when you are around 15-17 years old, you will be back in average. And remember, girls usually start puberty first, so it is best that you compare heights with other boys.
I am 5 feet 2 inches, and I am usually the shortest in class. I know some people who are shorter than me, but I usually fall in the group of shortest. I usually get a very similar feeling when comparing heights.

Don't compare yourself to others. Doing that only will drive you crazy. but that said I know 14 year olds who are also hairless but they can't even cum. So you have that going for yourself! As for your height. You have zero control over that. I was short for my age too for many years. And if you think about it, getting a low score on the puberty calculator just means that you WILL go thru many puberty changes soon. If you scored high, it may mean that you won't change much.

I think puberty stage starts at 10 years old. There would be physical changes like you'll get hairs in your armpits and pubic area. Your voice will start to get low. But it don't happen to anyone at the same time.

I asked my mom about my dad and she said that he was 5'7 and looked really young, so I think its genetic. A few of my cousins I've met before are completely hairless but my second cousin is 12 and already 5'1. I don't know when I'll grow :( I'm the shortest even in the boys.

Genetics can be a thing. Try increasing intake of calcium (A good source is milk), protein (A good source is poultry), and vitamins. Avoid foods high in saturated fats. It is best to do the most you can before you reach 19 years old (Point that most people stop growing at).

I already do that, I love milk and chicken, but they don't seem to do the trick either. I'm pretty fragile, weaker than most girls my age.
My friend told me that I can still get taller and stronger in time and so I should relax (he said I'd look cute anyway).

Really? What are they? How can I do them?
My older friend makes me dangle from the bars saying they're a good way of getting taller.

Yeah, if you have a pull up bar you could try doing like 15 pull ups a day. Some good jumping excercises can be like, go to the park every week to play basketball. There are many ways.
BTW, I am quite lazy, but I sometimes exercise at home.

My father is 5'7", but I am already 5'11" at 17.
You're only 13, so it's safe to assume that you've just started your journey to manhood, it will take some time until you reach the end. Thing is: you won't wake up one morning and find that you're 5'5", you'll grow gradually and slowly attain good height.

If you're already ejaculating then you've definitely started puberty. Body start puberty well before any obvious physical signs, as the beginning is an increase in hormone levels you're not aware of. At 3.5"erect your penis may already be growing a little and I'm sure that will continue over the next few years. If you are 11yo, you're ahead of most other boys. The average age for boy to start producing semen is 12 or 13. Enjoy the changes as they come.

I agree. Comparing yourself to everyone else during puberty will drive you crazy. Every boy and girl develops at their own pace in their own time. :)
