Is it legal to watch porn if you are under the age of 18? I haven't been able to find a real answer. In the U.S., is there a law that says it's illegal? I've found that it's illegal for someone over 18 to provide it to you, but not for you to actually watch it, so far that's all I've found.

It's illegal sure. But who can stop if it's available?

I don't know the answer to this question but if someone has to be held accountable for someone underage watching porn a lot of CEOs of internet provider companies are going to jail LOL

That's i wanted to say. If i'm under 18 and able to see porn, it's a fault of providers, not mine.

Most sites may post a notice that the viewer should be 18 or older to enter or view the site. But most all of them are completely accessible. Some require a paid membership to view. But a lot are free.

technically you are supposed to be 18. So while I am not endorsing anything that is technically illegal, the reality is millions of teens under 18 watches porn and in almost all cases, you are not going to get into any legal trouble. The only exception I would say is if the site was doing something incredibly bad (like using kiddie porn) and the police track who go to the site. that is where it could go south. in most cases though, it is not like anything bad will happen. a lot are free as Jamie said some you might have to pay for. I guess if you try to high jack content you should be paying for for free and they catch you that could get you in trouble. but in most circumstances you probably do not have too much to worry about.

It's same here too. You have to be 18 or over to watch porn. But who's going to call the cops and get you arrested in you watch it in the privacy of your room. The only bad thing that could happen is that you download a nasty virus from a porn site.

This is the same as +16 or +18 movies. I mean those involving murder and horror stories. They are free to watch for everybody on TV, the +18 is just a recommedation. The same happens with porn, everyone is free to watch it on the internet, the websites just show a +18 recommendation. For sure it's not illegal. Please, don't alert about things you don't know or you are not sure about.

I think there are two different answers
1. In most states in the USA it is illegal to SELL porn mags, videos, etc to someone under 17 or 18
2. I Googled it, & could not find one single state where it is illegal to VIEW porn ay any age.

Its illegal for teens to view pornographic material in the States, but lets be honest, millions of us do it and not much is being done to limit it

It's also illegal to smoke and drink and do drugs, and drive without a license, and do a lot of things. Some of those things if caught you will get in trouble for (pretty much all, except smoking). But if you get caught looking at porn I think the po-po has more important things to do than arrest you or give a ticket. The companies get around it by putting a disclaimer on their site saying if you are under 18 to not enter the site. But that doesn't stop me or anyone lol.
