No, I use compression shorts for Running. Only had 1 week of PE, then was moved to health class after I had bruised ribs from a LAX game.

I have seen like one or two guys @ school in jock straps, but most guys seem to be in compression shorts.

i wear one for PE. As long as you get the correct size, usually based on your waist size I think, it holds your penis and testicles well for sports. I don't know if the pouch size changes by waist size or by age group so you may need to look closely before you buy one so you get the best fit.

Yeah they shouldn't be loose, if you're wearing them for sports and stuff. They're supposed to keep your dick and balls in place so they should be pretty tight.

ya I second that... if its the right size you will really like wearing after a few washings . I wear either bike or the duke pro and they support really nice. Different ones will fit differently.

ya there pretty comfortable , you might have to try a few different styles and wear them a few times to break in. Once you start wearing one ... you will never go back to the compression shorts.

just the plain style or one with the cup too ? I find the cup ones can get a bit uncomfortable . I wear mostly the regular wide band duke or bike are great.

They can be pretty uncomfortable if the leg straps get all twisted up & irritate the scrotum. There is at least one brand that has tubular (not flat elastic) leg straps, & those are much more comfortable IMO.

It is pretty uncomfortable when that happens - but it kinda holds them in so it's not too obvious! And they go away pretty quick, given how strapped in they are haha.

A reg. jock strap is just made of cloth and is more like a tight pair of briefs with the sides and back cut away. Fits a lot tighter "supportive" than compression shorts . Some are made for use with a cup for baseball, football etc. Once you get use to them., there pretty comfortable at least the supportive ones.

Wear the jock enough for sports it becomes pretty comfortable. Took me a week to get over the fit and feel of them. Don't think I would go back to compression shorts other than using during running sometimes.

I use a jock and there the best .. Compression shorts seem like they bunch up and squeeze my legs but and just support my crotch area. Jocks do the best job pulling things up and in, keeps it tighter. and I think that really helps in sports.

It holds your dick and balls and pulls them tight against your body, so they don’t bounce when you run and stuff. And they’re less likely to get hit if they’re pulled in tight I guess

I mean they're certainly not like wearing boxers or something. They're meant to kind of restrain everything, for support and protection. So it's a little uncomfortable maybe by comparison, or at first. But they do the job they're supposed to do.

I think they may require them for us next year. Gotta wear them a few times to break them in and you eventually find there really pretty comfy. I could never wear boxers to exercise.. just no support.

Oh yea.. that is very true. Once you find the right brand and size, that supports/lifts comfortably you will never want to wear compression shorts again. My favorites are bike and Duke . Bike is now called GYM. Wear mine every time I workout or go running .

found you gotta try a few different brands an sizes. Athletic ones are the best for support. Once you find a good one that fits. .your will probably wear more often. I find there better support and comfort than compression shorts.

Yeah I never really wore them for anything besides holding a cup till they made us start wearing them for PE. They are just cloth ones with no cup... I think it's just supposed to hold your dick and balls tighter for running and stuff.
