I did a video of it. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyOT6i0Mjdg) So what happens, is if you try to sum up 1, 2, and 3 while you type it fast, the iPhone outputs the wrong answer. If you do it in a different combination, you get a different wrong answer. The answer is obviously 6, however iPhone thinks that 1+2+3=23.
People said it only affected iOS 11. But in this video, it clearly shows it affects iOS 10 as well. I have also noticed that this bug affects other combinations of 1, 2, and 3. Originally, people thought it only affected 1+2+3, but other combinations have this bug, and different combinations have different effects. See the video for a demo. If you don't believe me, try it yourself.

I tried that and I think when you do it really fast one of the + signs doesn’t recognize it was pressed so soon after the previous. If you go slower it works fine
But I had the same results as you when I go fast

JT's right. It doesn't think the answer is 23, it thinks you're inputting 23. If you were to then hit =, it would answer 24 (1+23). It's just not registering that you're hitting the + button again.

Yeah, I noticed if you type slower the issue wouldn't happen. It probably thinks you are inputting 1+23 but you are inputting 1+2+3.

That's really bad.
It seems to me Apple has put less capital on quality of software management since the passing of Steve Jobs. It's concerning to me that apple invests more in design and reputation and is resting on it's laurels, but even the iPhone X is not visually appealing to me because of the black bar at the top.
I would think it impacts media viewing in landscape mode.
Pixel 2 is having hardware problems and Samsung galaxy line is too color saturated for my taste.
I think the industry is hitting a peak soon, especially for the cost of these devices.

It's weird I expected them to fix it in the beta 5 update, oh well.

It seems like the problem got worse on iOS 11. But some people said that iOS 11.2 Beta included the fix for this problem.
