And do you mean write for a blog? Or make a big site? Or one here on VT if that's the case?

Where ever you write it, you have to think about how you talk to your reader. I have 3 blogs, one for my Photography, one for my friends, and my personal one, and for all three, I have to talk differently.

I use Weebly and Google Blogger, and from both, and linked with Facebook, I get 120 views per. And with AdSense, I get a fair few pennies for it. Worth a shot.

I'd suggest using Tumblr.

Tumblr is a really good platform and if you ever want to for any reason - you can have a custom domain to use as well. It allows custom themes (which could be simple if you're a good coder) and great starting themes.
