So I'm 16 and I've never had a girlfriend, officially. I've had a thing with a girl in the past, like we would make out and stuff but we never made it official, and then she moved to another state.

I'm a shy guy, but I'm not the awkward type. I have no problems talking to girls, but I don't know how to react when I like someone.

Currently, there's a girl that I like and I wanna take things forward with her, but I don't know how to go about it. :(

Also, I've been told that I sometimes come across as kinda feminine. Not that it's a wrong thing, but I feel it might be coming in the way of having a gf. I've started taking conscious efforts to improve my body language. Any help here?

Don't focus too much on your body language. If you try to appear more consciously male so badly, that never will work.

Try to be more self-assured. When you reach that, it automatically affects your body language.

Just be yourself. Talk more often with the girl and by time you'll also be more self-assured with that. Everything is usually just a question of practice.

I agree with Liam. Just be yourself and don't try to change who you are. You need to find someone who will just accept you as you are. And just be real friendly towards her and try to make small talk.

I too have never had a girlfriend. But I get really nervous when speaking with a girl when I have those kinds of feelings. The hard thing is to know if she's interested back without revealing too much. Otherwise you get hurt and embarrassed. Also make sure her friends aren't around when you talk to her or that can be humiliating if she's not interested. Good luck
