View Full Version : Am I normal?

I have so many questions about my body and sex.
I am 14 and went through puberty around 10 or 11.
I am almost in a C cup and my pubic hair is very dark long and curly and some of it goes out onto my legs past my underwear and a little goes toward my bellybutton. I would ask if this is normal but I notice that my mom is the same way.
Is touching yourself wrong?
The church says it is but I have caught my mom several times (she doesn't know) and have learned some things by watching her so if she does it I guess its ok.
I touch myself at least once a day and look at myself in the mirror and get really excited looking at my genitals during climax and seeing them clench and release over and over. I have even recorded it a few times and watched it. My mom sometimes uses a mirror too but don't think she's recorded it. Am I normal for doing this?
Please tell me everyone does this stuff.
Should I talk to my mom about catching her touching herself? I am afraid to.

No.
Don't listen to it.
Yes.
I wouldn't. She appreciates her privacy as much as you do. ;)

hey Susie, I know the church says its wrong but if it was wrong why would your body enjoy it so much?? plus touching yourself doesn't affect your faith :)

Masturbating is completely normal and healthy. People of all ages (literally, babies to grandmas) do it. Most girls (and boys) who feel like they need to masturbate but don't do it will eventually have erotic dreams and orgasm that way because your body needs the relief. If it feels good and you are not hurting yourself, you are fine. Unfortunately not everything the church teaches is really what's right for everyone.

I don't mean to sound like I am putting the church down. I'm not. It's just that I hear the Reverend say things that I can't find in the Bible anywhere. Like touching yourself for example. I can't find where it says that and believe that different churches make their own rules and look at the Bible differently. It must be this way since there are so many different kinds of churches out there. I'll bet that even the nuns touch them selves too! They have desires like every other girl.

The New Testament describes masturbating as a sin. Masturbation as a form of lust, if your lust is causing you to masturbate. Yet the bible also states "Sex is not bad. God created sex to be something beautiful, right, and pure. It is supposed to be pleasurable."
I'm not Christian so those words are just words to me and not just another rule someone wrote 1900 years ago (New Testament).
I wouldn't go speak with your mom if I where you. Saves you and your mom a awkward convorsation. Just don't make a habbit of it. All I want to know is, why do you wan to talk about it with your mother? I will respect it that you want it I just want to know why.

Neither was I. I think maybe some of those things that your reverend says, like touching yourself, is his opinion and he is using his position to influence others. However, I did think that there was a part of the bible where a man touches himself and when he ejaculates he is in trouble with god because he wasted sperm. I could be wrong though, I haven't read the bible.

Ok, I mean absolutely no offense here, but I don't think those who have not read the Bible should be speculating on it! However, yes, I do believe that there are warnings/so on about masturbation, but nothing that especially comes to mind or pops out at me right now. I'd have to look into that. However, the bible ABSOLUTELY tells us A. we all sin, and B. not to judge others, it is not our place. So really either way, it's a personal matter. If you believe in god, as they say, it's between you and god. However, like others have said, it's perfectly natural.
Haha, I wouldn't bring it up to Mom. That's sure to be an awkward conversation! :P I've had the desire to record myself as well, but I'm paranoid about technology. So I don't. You're not alone though.
