This is pretty close to what I'd suggest. I usually lie on my back and let it land on my chest/stomach. This is easier without the covers in the way but if you need to do it under the covers you can, Assuming you are right handed you can use your right hand on your penis while you hold the covers up with your left hand. As you're not holding a tissue you don't need three hands. Cum is warm and, as varun.karma says, feeling it land on your chest/stomach is a nice feeling. Once you have finished cumming you can grab something to wipe up. As you don't need your right hand any more you can use that to wipe while your left continues to hold the covers up to avoid them getting wet.

On the question of cumming in boxers, I have only done it once and don't make a habit out of it. I do sometimes use the ones I have taken off to wipe up but then they stay off. I wouldn't want to eat cum out of my boxers but like many things it is personal preference - it you want to do that it's up to you.

For me there are some issues with doing that.

The first is that is that you either need to be dribbling, or at least not shooting very far, or you need to be able to predict how far it will shoot and stand the correct distance back from the toilet bowl that it drops in. The one time I remember trying it I shot hard and it landed on the cistern, the wall and floor behind the toilet with hardly any in the bowl. Cleaning up after that is definitely not easier than wiping it off your belly.

Second is that I don't find standing up to be a good a position as lying down.
