Hey, ive had this bump on my areola (skin around the nipple) and it suddenly started hurting once i started noticing it and checking it out. Im on my period, and so that could be a factor, but has this ever happened to anyone else? It doesnt always hurt and hasnt changed apart from the pain, but should i still see the doc? Thanks guys :yummy::yummy::):D

I would show it to the doctor. At least to know what it is

Please see a doctor and make you mom take you and go with you. that does not sound good. But it maybe also that your breast are just still growing too.

Could they be montgomery glands (http://breastcancer.about.com/od/whatisbreastcancer/f/nipple-anatomy.htm)?

You really need to see a doctor. If the doctor says its nothing to worry about then that is great but if it is something, you need to have it taken care of before it gets worse.

In this case only a doctor can help you.... ok that sounds weird.

A doctor will give you the best advice. I hope he has good news, goodluck!

This was the first thing that came to mind for me as well.

Yeah it sounds like a hair follicle or clogged gland or zit or something...just bring it up at your next GYN visit and I think you'll find out its fine. Have you tried a warm compress or something?

doesn't sound like much but these sorts of things are always best to run by a doctor :)
