Curious about trying new drugs

My bestfriend has done acid 3 times and he's made me really curious about it. I'm also really curious about shrooms. Psychedelics interest me because everywhere I read, people say it's eye-opening, and you discover a lot about yourself and the world.

To anyone whose tried either of these, how were your experiences? And what should i do/not do when trying them to make sure I have a safe/enjoyable trip?

shrooms seemed cool at first but I they started to mess with me on my third try
acid I have done twice and both times I had a horrible reaction so I wouldn't recommend either of those

Theoretically it's pretty safe to take LSD since it's not really addictive. Depending on the individual, though, LSD can cause a 'bad trip.' That's why I always recommend having some downers around: benzodiazepines like diazepam/valium, lorazepam/Ativan, alprazolam/xanax or clonazepam/Klonapine; non-benzodiazepines like zolpidem/Ambien or buspirone/Buspar, or first-generation antihistamines like hydroxyzine/Vistaril/Atarax, diphenhydramine/Benadryl. You can get most 1st gen antihistamines OTC, but if you can get LSD you probably can get prescription drugs.

If you decide to try new drugs, you MUST perform an extensive research on them. Find out what known interactions are there, what the most common side/nasty effects are, and learn how to prevent or soften them. You can also read drug experiences at Erowid or some forums.
Remember, doing drugs isn't "good", but if you're going to do it, you better do it the right way. It's just two words that can take you from a bad to a good experience: HARM REDUCTION!
