I've had a whirlwind of experiences discovering my sexuality growing up. And now that I'm 18 and have a handle on who I am and who I want to be, I'd like to share my thoughts with you all, in hopes that maybe it will help you or a friend dealing with sexuality issues.
The big picture is: EVERYONE is different. Sexuality isn't just straight/bi/gay....it's a spectrum. Basically what that means is, we all fall somewhere along the spectrum between straight and gay, and no one is 100% anything, no matter what they tell you. I can tell you right now that I identify as gay, and that is only because I know I'll never be romantically attracted to a woman. However, I have hooked up with girls in the past, and I plan to in the future. I find women beautiful and sexually attractive, and I will express that.
I know it can be so confusing and frustrating at this time in your life, but I can tell you for the most part, it doesn't even matter. Years from now youre STILL going to be unsure of what your sexual identity is, and thats perfectly okay!
Love who you want to love, and don't let anyone tell you different.
