View Full Version : wearing girl clothes

I've been sleeping in a bra and panties, and sometimes camisoles (different sets) for about two months straight. It's not for any kind of sexual thrill or anything, (it doesn't turn me on) I just feel comfortable and "at peace" when I sleep like this. Is there something wrong with me? (Please no hatemail about being gay.... I am totally into girls and feel nothing sexual toward males at all.) But where does this leave me? Am I like a wannabe transgender lesbian or something?

Nothing is wrong with you, and you may be transgender but that's a slim chance. You may just like wearing "Female clothes," I personally don't see why clothing even has a gender.

There's nothing wrong with you, camisoles are comfortable to sleep in, (though for me I can't stand sleeping in a bra, but that's an individual preferance) personally, having worn neutral passable hand-me-downs from my brother, I find that girl clothes are made out of way more comfortable fabric. As long as you're happy with it, I see no reason why you should be concerned.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you were uncomfortable in your body and felt that you shouldn't be the gender you are physically, then you would likely be transgender (or bigender, or no gender etc). You like wearing clothing that is typically worn by girls: so what? a bit of material doesn't have an effect on your sexuality or gender identity :)

Okay I look at everyone else posts and they all say it's "normal". From my point of view, I don't think it's actually "normal" to act like you. You said you're completely straight then what makes you wear girl stuff. I don't have scientific explanation, but hmm, personally I don't think it's normal and neither will "society". (No offense)

What you wear doesn't effect your sexuality.

True that common society might find issue with this, however in addition to saying he was straight he also mentions that he is comfortable. I can attest that girl clothes are almost always made of lighter fabric than guy clothes, so that makes sense. maybe it's just a matter of being worried that wearing them might lead to gender identity issues. Which it won't..... wearing panties doesn't make you a girl any more than wearing a beanie makes you a gangster. And your sexuality is based on the gender(s) you are attracted to. There is no problem with this.

I agree completely with this. Maybe not even transgender - just crossdressing. A man visited my school last year who crossdressed. He looked fine in a dress.

How is what you wear at all reflective of who you're attracted to, regardless of your sex/gender/orientation? And, besides, like xYukki said, I'm not even sure why clothing needs to have gender connotations (besides being fitted specifically for a male or female).
In the end, OP, as long as you're comfortable, you're absolutely fine doing whatever you feel is right. It doesn't change you, it doesn't define you, it doesn't make you anything you don't feel yourself to be. Perhaps you have some issue with gender, whether it be total gender dysphoria or just a flexible gender expression or maybe nothing at all. Clothing isn't such a great (reliable) indication of anything.

There is also a really famous youtuber named miles jai, he considers his self a male and knows he's a male but dresses in female clothes and hair stylers.

You have some men who like dressing and acting likes girls but make no mistake they know they are men, most are probably gay but not all. Many men like feminine clothing or are feminine. I may be one of them but I used to have strong transgender impules that I never acted on. A Youtuber named Miles Jai, he knows he is male, he may be gay, but he likes dressing as a woman. You'd mistake him as a woman but he knows he's male and says he's a guy. Different strokes for different folks.
A friend of mone is marrie to a woman, and he is very feminine, he wears women's clothes and his wife loves him for him. She wasn't after the masculine man nor had a problem with. He and her are both very sweet people and despite the nasty looks he may get in public he knows who he is, a straight married man who likes dressing up like a woman because he feels most comfortable that way. So many straight guys are like this, with girls we call them tomboys, with guys all of a sudden we get crazy.

Absolutely agree with these guys. Was actually going to mention Miles Jai myself.
I personally dress in men's clothing and pose as male (biological female), and I'm bigender. HOWEVER, as a young kid, I felt (indirectly, I didn't have a word for it) that I was trans. I didn't feel right being a girl. When puberty hit, things changed a little bit, and I began to accept my female self more- but I still felt like a boy. This is different. If you can relate to this, it could be an issue of gender, but it really has nothing to do with sexuality.

Why isn't it normal? Why can't someone who is straight dress in clothes designed for the opposite gender? I know a lot of girls who are cisgender and heterosexual, but they'll wear guy's shirts or hoodies, band tees/etc in men's sizes, etc. Some guys wear girls' underwear because they think it's comfortable. There's nothing wrong with it, and you'd never be able to tell by looking at them.
I mean, if you have to have a beef with someone for crossdressing, I'm bigender. Sure, that makes me a little 'weird' by your standards most likely. And yes, I am "gay". Sort of. I'm pan/demisexual, but I've been in a relationship with a woman before. However, this is totally different from what OP described. If you have a bone to pick with someone because of their gender or sexuality, at least pick the one who's out.

Think you have a serious case of enjoying something that makes you feel comfortable and at peace.
That is all. Nothing more, nothing less.

there's nothing wrong with that at all! if you feel comfortable that way, then you shouldn't be embarrassed or as though its weird as long as its not hurting anyone. different things are for different people.

If it was for sexual purpose like fetish, it would be even easier to understand. Technically speaking, unless you're wearing a XL girl underwear, the underwear should be too small for you. Girl don't have penis so a panty is not made to take a penis inside. The behind of a girl underwear, maybe it can fit your ass because it is stretchable, but in the front?? loll no wayy, your penis would be sticking out and it would be extremely painful having the laces cutting half your penis.
Girls can wear boxer because it can only be too big, and it isn't an issue because there's nothing in the way.

As a 'girl', I have to disagree with both statements. :P
Girls crotches are no narrower than guys' crotches. Sure, panties aren't MADE for holding penises, but it's not impossible.
Also, underwear size has more to do with waist and hip size than the kind of genitals you have. Men would actually have to wear smaller sizes of underwear because their hips and waist are typically smaller than that of a woman. Likewise, women would have to wear somewhat bigger boxers unless they're tiny- as their hips and waist are typically larger than that of a man.
I wear both kinds of underwear, so.

Totally nothing wrong with that. In fact, I would totally do that myself, I've actually twisted my own underwear to simulate panties (I wear briefs, actually really small briefs.). Maybe that was TMI, but it's on-topic.
Actually, it shouldn't be any sort of discomfort as long as you're used to a little tiny bit of tightness in the crotch area. Even then, that shouldn't be much of a problem, because waists of the female sex are often a little LARGER than those of the male sex. (notice I did not say gender, if I did I would KIND OF be talking about myself...)
