View Full Version : What is your browser and search engine?

I have changed my browser to Brave on both my iPod and my laptop, and i have change my search engine to DuckDuckGo on both of them as well. Id use TOR but its so slow and such a heavy hitter.. And how my iPod is on its last leg and how my laptop struggles with YouTube Brave was a good choice. Light on the device and fast. I think it gave my iPod some time and my laptop can now actually play a video without buffering the page.
Im interested in seeing what other people use though. Not everyone leaves their stuff default right? Or do I really just miss Lenix that much...?

I've been using Chrome on my PC since before they "modernized" their icon styles, if you know what I mean  I have a Lumia 640 for a phone running Windows 10 Mobile, so on there I use the default which is Microsoft Edge. As for search engines, on all my devices I use Google.

And today I have learned what a search engine is. Been using it for years without knowing the proper term.

A pretty heavily modified firefox with duck duck go as my default search as well. I try to avoid using google and other sites that collect and sell user data as much as possible. I have been a huge privacy advocate the last year or so and the more you learn about how much the web is able to track and sell your data, the scarier it gets.
check out https://privacytools.io if you are interested learning more about how much you are actually tracked online (they are not trying to sell you anything there) they have a lot of tutorials and guides that help you improve your online privacy.

I've recently started to use Linux as a main desktop, so I've been using Firefox and Chromium a lot due to them being less memory hogging than Chrome. I still use Google as the browser, though duckduckgo is an occasional alternative.

I found out that Firefox is the best browser for my Android. It's quick, easy to use, and it has no bad influence on the speed of other apps. Here is the view (http://appotatos.com/firefox-browser-for-android) of the latest features. As for the search engine, Google is totally enough for me.
