View Full Version : Tight Foreskin (Uncut) Problem

Hi,
So I'm 19 years old and I really don't know what to do about my tight foreskin problem. At the tip of my penis, I see that there is a little thing connected to the tip of my foreskin. This prevents me from pulling it back all the way. When I try and pull my foreskin back, one side of the circumference (kind of hard to explain) can pull back, the other side doesn't want to pull back due to the fact that it's connected to that small band thing.
I caught the glimpse of my little brother's dick and he's 18, and I think he can pull it back. I remember when we were younger, we would shower together occasionally, like when we were 13 or so, and I remember seeing him stretch his foreskin backwards and I would think that was really gross and never would want to do it because it hurt to do that. I would always wonder why he would do that. Back then, we didn't know about masturbation, so I never really thought much of it.
So I am pretty sure I've had a tight foreskin for a long time now. Because when I masturbate, I jerk out instead of coming in and out. I don't know if I'm allowed to go into much detail, but instead of the normal masturbation technique (not sure if 'normal', but I guess it's what most guys do) is to literally go back and forth on your penis. But, I just typically go out because it hurts to go in because that means my foreskin would be pulling down and it can't go down because it's too tight around the tip of my penis. I have no idea if this makes sense at all, but as I'm typing it, it makes some sense.
I decide to post this because recently, I've tried having gay sex and it doesn't work. When I top and give anal sex, when I stick my penis into my partner's ass, it hurts so bad because my foreskin is preventing it from stretching back when I insert it into his ass. It's also difficult to have oral sex when my partner tries to give me a good blowjob, because my foreskin does not retract. When he gives me a handjob, it's also difficult because he has to masturbate me the same way I masturbate myself.
I'm used to masturbating this way, so I didn't think much of it. But now that I think about it, I can't really have sex or have fun with another guy because of all these issues. When I have fun with myself and play with myself, it's fine because I'm already used to it and masturbate in a certain way.
If it's unclear, let me know. Sorry for the very long post, but I just really have no idea what to do. What should I do?
Thanks!

You are right. T.M.I. in some parts...
The only advice anybody would be able to give: See a doctor!
You might need a circumcision. But don't be scared. There are also conservative treatments of phimosis you can google easily.
All the best!

I really think you should see a doctor about this if it's causing you that kind of trouble. If you afraid of circumcision, don't worry because there are other ways around having a tight foreskin. What it sounds like you have is a skin bridge, which can occasionally form in cases of phimosis. A trip to your doctor should be enough for him/her to recommend a very small and most likely completely painless procedure to remove the skin bridge. Hope all goes well for you :)

Well apparently in 19 years a doctor has never seen your penis to diagnose it, so it seems about time you got an actual full physical examination. I'm 13 and I've had about 13 of them so far.

Sorry, I realize I included lots of information that may have been too much. Sorry about that! I just don't know what to say when scheduling the appointment to the secretary. Ahh, embarrassed. I'll look into those conservative treatments.

I'm kind of scared of circumcision though.

Maybe it is called a skin bridge. I don't know what it's called but it's like a band of skin that connects the tip of penis to tip of foreskin. I don't know what to tell the doctors office about this. Should I just go to family doctor? I've usually always gone to the doctor with my parents, but I guess it's time to go by myself.

In elementary school, middle school, and maybe even a little in high school, we've had annual physicals that are required for school. So, he's seen my penis, but always just feeling around, and that's about it. I never take my pants off completely, so I'm not sure what he can actually see and what he cannot see. I don't think he can see very much because he just pulls my underwear down slightly and feels and does what he needs to do.
I've also heard as uncut/uncircumcised, we should have been stretching our penis/foreskin when we were younger, and I haven't been doing that. Maybe that is the cause/result of this now?

1) You most likely wont need to be. There is usually always an alternative except in drastic cases.
2) Tell them exactly what you told us. These are medical professionals who don't judge, they hear far more bizarre and "gross" things on the average day on the job than a guy with a foreskin issue.
3) You probably should have, but it should be put down to parents for not teaching kid's that it's an important part of the hygiene routine. I wouldn't say that it is the cause in your case tho, especially if it is a skin bridge. Skin brides occur on both cut and uncut penises.

Okay, sorry I jumped to that conclusion. Seems to be the case a lot if time though with others.

You know I don't mean to pull the "Google is your friend" thing on you, but I have looked up "tight foreskin" before as this is a subject that comes up a lot, and you will probably find most/all your questions answered that way, in addition to what you are told here.

There is no reason to be scared at all.
Phimosis is a condition which is to be cured if it causes discomfort or even pain.
I myself had to drop my pants in front of a female doctor some month ago and the excitement before the consultation was way worse than the actual 'act'.
If your doc recommends circumcision as the first and only treatment go to a different one. There are ointments and stretching techniques you defo should try first.
They help in more than 80%.

A nice visit to a doctor will definitely help decrease your agony.
All the best! I'm sure that you'll be fine. ;)

Yeah, I need to go to a doctor about this then, it's very irritating problem to have, ugh.

Thanks, I think I would really prefer a male doctor over a female doctor. This will be the hard part..

Probably you need a circumcision, but is the doctor who has to decide it. There is nothing to worry about, 40% of men are circumcised, like me for example.
Get an appointment with a doctor, you can just tell the secretary that you feel pain in your penis, don't need to give further details.

My foreskin was only retractable when I was around 12 or so. If anybody had forced it back before then it might have caused little scars which could have caused similar problems to me too. Nevertheless you cannot change it.
If you feel too embarrassed to get an appointment for this particular problem. Ask for a general physical and bring up your tight foreskin when the doctor examines you genitals.

Is it possible that the issue is with your frenulum - the "banjo string" connecting the foreskin to the head of the penis? It's good that you're now prepared to see the doctor. He or she can go through all the options. If the worst case is circumcision (which may be unlikely), there are a number of threads of boys that have been through it, it's not the end of the world. If it is a short frenulum, there are minor ops that can be fixed too.
I have Googled this subject a lot and I can't really find much that helps me.
Google can be useful, though at times can either give you absolutely no information or WAY too much information that it's annoying

If you can accept that a male doctor can check you over, then there should be no difference for a female doctor (easier to say I Know!). All docs are equally trained, so a doctor should be trained for these circumstances. Just remember to get yourself checked and your questions answered.
Thanks.
Good luck

Try stretch exercises, specially when you take a shower. You can use some lube.

I don't understand, is the foreskin too tight or the frenulum too short?

It seems like phimosis and is likely not too serious an issue

If it's causing you pain, a doctor's visit wouldn't hurt.

Here is a really good site to visit. Go to the very bottom of the page to get all your questions answered. Everyone on VT should read the info on this site.

I was actually considering some lube. I've tried stretching, but can't really get it far at all.

I'm actually really not too sure. It's just that small band (string kind of thing, but don't get me wrong from my description - it's skin) that is attached from head of penis to part of foreskin. So when I do stretch it back, only one part of my foreskin will go back and the other goes a little distance. That's because it's circular in nature so the whole thing can't go back if one part is stopping it. Not sure if that made sense, hard to describe.
