VT and skype

Hey, as I was trying to set my skype info up on VT, it keeps telling me that my skype is invalid because I do not have a skype name, only an email. Skype changed the way people sign up and they are trying to transition to email addresses only. If this could be changed or modified to help accommodate people in similar situations that would be great!:cool:

You will have a skype name, even if it is part of an email. For a microsoft email, take the bit before the @ sign and stick live: in front of it and that is your skype name normally

Example:
[email protected] would be come live:john.smith normally

CLick on your skype profile and it will tell you

Yeah I tried that too, still says "You have entered an invalid skype name". Posted on VT HQ to try and get some more help, thanks though!

Have you tried without the "live:"? I think it's about the same and search function in Skype still picks you up

Yeah I did, I figured the same thing too - doesn't work though. Had one of my friends try it and he said that it came up with someone other than myself.
