So guys, I haven't take physical exams in years ever since I was 12. I am getting one soon to have a medical record on file. It is my first physical exam in Canada. I am some question for those guy who been through this. Also does it make any different if you are under 18 or over 18.
How old was you and where you from ?

Does doctor check the exterior or interior of the anus? Also if so how many finger does the doctor use?

Does the doctor exam your flaccid penis or erect penis and does doctor ask to exam erect penis?

I saw from some post, some doctor ask for sperm sample. Does happen to you if yes, how do you feel about it and where do you do it.

I'm not saying they don't, but I've never dad a doc check my but hole, erect penis, or ask for a sperm sample. Not unless your complaining about something. But if he examines your private parts he/she should say something first

I get physicals twice a year for my sport club.
It is a full body exam with urine and blood test.
I have never been completely naked. I had my boxers and t-shirt on most of the time. You pull out your shirt for the time of chest and abdominal examination. My doctor always asks if I want to have my genitals checked as well before she proceeds.
Therefore I drop my boxers to the knees. She asks me to pull back my foreskin to check my glans and then she palpates my testicles. Feels a bit awkward but not painful or anything.
There is no reason for a doctor to ask you to get an eriction. So they want do it. At least for a general examination you are about to get.
For the examinations I had the doctor never checked the inside of my anus. She just asked me to bent over and spread the cheaks to check the outside area.

Sperm samples are not part of a general checkup.

Hope I could help ;)

If it is a general physical none of what
u say will b done other than a hernia test
where the doctor will hold ur junk and ask
u to cough. It depends on if u have any
symptoms then the doctor will check more.
For a teen it is just general. Idk how it is in
Canada.

For guys our age, the doctors will just check the exterior of the anus. Older guys (30+) might get their prostate checked which may require one finger up the anus.

If the doctor examines your penis, they will just have a look and they may ask you to retract your foreskin if you are uncut. And them may palpate your balls. No erections required :)

Sperm sample? Unlikely! Unless you are at an fertility clinic, having trouble to conceive a baby :))))

If they touch your genitals, they will be wearing gloves.

Oh yes, here's a weird one, they may ask you to cough while holding your balls.

He just checks my glans and my balls. I eould assume though that older guys will end up with prostate exams.

When I turned 13, doctor would give me one of those nasty paper gown things, but they were pretty dang short, and he would leave the room while I changed, everything came off except the paper shirt and my boxers. Then it was pretty much a normal exam like when I was a kid, except at the end when I had to pull my shorts down and he just kinda looked at my dick and rolled my balls around a little and did the whole turn my head and cough thing, then there would be some awkward conversation about sexual activity and doing monthly self exams on my balls. At 18 I started going to a regular grown up doctor and this one doesn't do anything down there or make me get changed, its almost more like when I was a little kid, just do the basic stuff and ask I I am having any problems or if I have any questions. I have never had my ass checked though, or asked to get a boner and I have definitely never been asked to give a sperm sample!!

Holy c#^p. If a Doc. tried to do any of those things I would hit the road and tell my Dad.

My Doc. had me do some breathing, stretching, and listening to my heart. He asked me to let my pants down to my ankles and felt my balls for lumps and stuck his finger up my inguinal canal and asked me to cough to see if I had a hernia.

I get a full physical exam every year. It is a full body physical with urine and blood work. The doctor examines my whole nude body at some point and checks for hernia and also has me bend over exam table and simply spreads my butt cheeks and just looks at my anus. They feel my penis and balls and in my case retracts my foreskin and checks my penis in that way too. No big deal.

Annual exams. My experience has been undressing to boxer briefs & adding their paper gown. My doc checks from the head down to the toes, except he checks genitals & anus last. So, eyes, ears, neck, chest, etc.
After pulling down undies:
-He lifts my penis to look under it & checks the sides of my scrotum- looking for jock itch.
-palpates both testicles & reminds me to do monthly testicular exam in warm shower
- I'm circ'd, so no foreskin retraction. One time my meatus (pee hole) was red & irritated. He asked me if I had changed soap or shower gel. I replied yes, & he suggested I use only water to clean the meatus. Of course, I had masturbated with the new shower gel, & that
Was prob the reason, but he never asked & I never told.
- He checked the inguinal canals for hernia. One time I DID have a hernia, & had surgery before I could play sports
- he had me turn around & bend over to "check your tailpipe," I asked why he checks there & how it must be gross with hairy butts. He said it is to check for "hemorrhoids & fissures."
- I asked if he had to put his finger in my butt. "Unless you are having problems back there, there is no reason to check the prostate until you are over 30."

The doc is one of my dad's medical partners & I have known Uncle Steve all of my life, so I felt free to ask him anything, and did.

I hope this helps with your anxiety.

If a doctor that is not a urologist erectile dysfunction specialist asks you to become erect, you need to tell your parents & report that doctor to the state medical board- inappropriate behavior! There are very few exceptions- says Uncle Steve

I have to have a physical every year because I play sports in school. My doctor (male doc) examines me nude with a male PA assisting him. The exam takes a little more than 20 minutes where he listens to my heart and lungs, checks my ears and eyes, checks my reflexes. He also examines my penis and balls but doesn't give me any prostrate exams in my butt. He never has asked me to get erect or asked for a sperm sample. But he does know that I can make sperm and ejaculate.

I've had a full checking from the anus to the genitals. It's embarrassing but I learned I just got over it cause it had to be done.

I honestly think these physical exams are intrusive. Glad we don't have them in the UK.
