I use iOS since here in China, the Play Store only has free apps (Google technically doesn't exist here), which most of them are rubbish. So, if I buy an app in the American Play Store, that app might not show up here in China, and there's no way of forcing the American Play Store to show.
Also, unless you buy a Nexus, the android experience is not pure, and updates are not guaranteed.

I've modded my phone to look more like an iPhone because I hate the idea of home screens. Notification bar shows you the time and battery power, and other than that I have nothing else I need on there. So every time I install apps they clog that up and go into the app drawer. There is no point in having home screens if you're not planning on using them... (I have Espier launcher) I just want an iPhone because of the flat style really :P

I haven't had much experience with Android but I love Apple. From what I've used of Android, I haven't really liked the layout or the general feel of it. I currently have an old iPod Touch 4g but I'm getting an iPhone 5c, probably sometime this week.

Personally Androids>Apple.
Apple has serious issues with allowing you to share stuff plus Android tends to get apps made for it first anyway.

I have an Android and I had an Ipod Touch at one point, and I much prefer the Android.
1) Android you can add more space if needed
2) Android you can buy more apps for free that usually cost money in Apple Stores.
3) They're literally the same thing anyways. So why not get a better alternative?

iPhones/apple portable products (ipod/ipad/iphone/etc) are actually great. Smooth operating system, user friendly layout, plenty of apps, etc. I don't like how locked down they are though. The other downside, ofc, being the fact they're ~2-3x the price of a device with similar specs, if not more.
With android devices, they go all the way from terrible junk up to some of the best phones you'll ever but, it depends completely on what device you but, the different layout ontop of base android, etc.
I personally have a Nexus 4 (Got it for a bargain of $299AUD) and I've never been happier with a phone in my life, it's amazing. If I had to choose one bad thing, it'd be something that's actually some what a good thing. Getting updates to Android early is amazing. The queue is Nexus 5 > Nexus 4 > other Nexus devices > other phones usually. This gives you an up-to date raw Android experience which I find to be quite amazing. The down side? Apps! Some developers take a fairly long time to update when a new version of Android is released. There's usually work-arounds, but they're sure as hell not user friendly. (ie requiring a rooted phone and installing of third-party apps, etc). A great example of this is Adobe completely giving up on Flash Player updates for Android.

Androids os is much more customizable and much more complex than ios, I would prefer ios ONLY if it had much more expandability, bigger screen size and was jailbroken out of the box. Because ios is a closed os, it does not get much viruses but then customizing it to how you want it is not what apple wants you to do. Ios is very simple and is for people who either want a brand name or just wants a phone and is recommended it. Android is much more useful but because it is open source, it is prone to getting viruses. But android is awesome with me. :yeah::yeah::yeah:

Well, iPhones are baby toys handed out by dictators, so android obvi. I love my HTC One m7 and have had it rooted since week 1, and flashed 5+ custom Roms so far. And since android allows you to do what you want with your own phone, ive been at least 2 updates ahead of all the other users who dont do custom Roms. Ive modded the crap out of my phone,so its basically 100% cusom. Iphones just kinda sit there...and do....not much. TEAM ANDROID!

I have an s3 so i'd say android ,but in all honesty neither ! The best if you are talking about reliability ,functionality ,strength etc... will always be the iradirum sat phone. So where people are bickering about which is better you are both wrong.Neither are as reliable and anywhere near functional is the iradirum phone .(although they both are a lot cheaper) How many phones or carriers for the matter can boast signal from almost anywhere in the world ? (exc banned countries of course) If I could pick a dream phone it'd have to be one of these beauties http://www.iridium.com/products/IridiumExtremeSatellitePhone.aspx?productCategoryID=1 Jet Water Resistant ,Shock Resistant,Dust Proof, signal in remote regions - what more could you want ? of course it doesnt come with all the flashy stuff that an apple or android would, but really you cant say either of the two have ever been that reliable .I mean my samsung s3 freezes all the time ,doesnt connect to mobile internet half the time and I have to sit on my shed roof to make phone calls some days - and my house is hardly remote ,I have one of the main overground trainlines into london in the next road and an industrial estate around the corner ! I also know apple phones are notorious for breaking from the slightest bash.Blackberries are no better with bbm going down faster than a prostitutes panties ! so in all for my choice it'd be the bloodyawesome nokia or a satphone :D - both could do serious damage if thrown

If you mean good... it was for a few days then it started to fuck up again and I went back to revamping the usual interface :p I ran a full restore on that phone anyway and it's now my dad's as I have a nexus 5 with no problems YET . It looks good with the override but it makes the phone lag a lot too although I think I blame this on the fact it was just a crap phone. You can get the keyboard too but it's a seperate app
I now completely say Android is better, especially as my phone now has 2 inches more than the 4S

Less customization available, the interfaces may look better but customization to me doesn't seem to be too advanced. Smaller screen is something else I think of too. It depends on what apps you think you'll want that are available on android and iphone, not just iphone. Personally I prefer the thought of having a bigger screen and being able to tweak it; you can change the default home launcher if you're not happy with it and that I do a lot :) yadda yadda.. I don't know too much about iPhone but I prefer my androids from what i've seen anyway

Yup, that's the beauty of Linux based operating systems like Android. :) TRUE customazation, none of that annoying "OUR USER INTERFACE IS GOD! COMPLY OR PERISH!" stuff peddled by windows and apple under the guise of user friendliness.

When it comes to mobile OS' I'm like a computer-illiterate middle aged woman. I get used to one OS, and that's all I use until it becomes so obsolete that it's laughable.
And since I've been using iOS since it came out, it's only reasonable that I would stick with the iPhone. I don't hate android (as an OS), but I had an android phone last and I never got used to it...

There's things I miss about my iPhone but the more used to Android I'm becoming the easier it is to live without them. Tbh Android has a leg up in some places, but has disappointed me SO much so far. I feel like Apple OS and the phones themselves are less buggy.
Spec-wise, Android wins, however, and usually price-wise as well. Plus you can take out the battery...
