To our Muslim friends, Ramadan Mubarak!
Now that we are in Ramadan, it made me remember something. I had a jerk-off buddy when I was in 8th grade who was from Egypt. One day he told me he couldn't wank with me for a whole month. I asked him why? He told me it was Ramadan, and he could only do it when it was dark out. I didn't believe him, but it's true!
So, if you are a Muslim teen, boy or girl, are you being faithful this month and not "doin' it" between sunrise and sundown??

This applies to eating, whether or not it applies to other things is a personal thing.

thank you!
yes, we're not 'doin it' this month. Ramadhan is not just about the fasting. it's broader than that, like holding yourself from your various desires. desire to eat, sexual desire, you get it. (so yeah, no 'doin it' and no sex either). at ramadhan as the holy month, it's encouraged for people to do more good things, from giving sadakah/zakat(donations to the poor and to the orphan house), doing the tarawih prayer( special night prayer that's only in ramadhan), holding yourself from your various desires, and fasting from subuh(Dawn) to Maghrib(dusk). and I heard smoking will break your fast as well.

I hope this clears things up, and fun fact, depending on where on Earth (literally) you are, fasting periods ranges from 14 hours to 22 hours!
 (I got 14 hours to do if you're asking :) )

by the way, this is my first time in this forum :D

EDIT : so fasting in Ramadhan means not eating, no sex(and other sexual related things, 'doin it' and pornography includes), no stealing and stuff.
and yes, I am being faithful. (the reason may include : its a once in a year opportunity! )

maharba1002 pretty much sums it up , but i'd like to add that just how food is allowed after sunset , so is everything else like sex (between married couples of course) not sure about the smoking thing though, even though it isn't considered a sin

correct. after dusk (or after you break your fast or at night)you can eat anything you want (no pork though :D), and do things like sex. the fasting then will continue for the next day(dawn-dusk). so within the ramadhan fasting period (dawn-dusk), eating and sex is forbidden, it will break your fast, and give you sin.

well smoking is i guess is a preferable subject, just like anger I also heard.

I think it is similar to how many Christians try to maintain sexual abstinence during Lent (which lasts 40 days), unfortunately most cases of life will painfully break those noble plans :D

Because masturbation is a sin, in almost every Abrahamic religions (Christian, Judaism, Islam) with good reason. It's pleasurable, but can lead to addiction, and this is bad, because Christian should be free from any addiction, i think Muslims think the same way, and masturbation mostly did alone, and GOD/Nature created sexuality as thing we should share with other half not them self.

Would you say you have the strong will not to give in to your sexual desires, during this time period?

I know this comment doesn't belong here but I gotta say it anyway. This Muslim boy I knew, he and his parents and his brother and sister were about the nicest, kindest, and most generous people I've ever known. I loved being at his house and with them. Totally different from everything I see and hear on TV.
