Does anyone else ever feel uncomfortable when they have underwear on because you're too big for them? When I wear boxers my bulge is very visible and when I wear anything tighter you can see a very good outline of my dick and can even see the tip.

Also, when I'm about to shower in public I feel like people stare at it and people have often said something about it. Does this make anyone else uncomfortable? Can I do anything about it?

Look for underwear with pouches, it'll cause your dick to aim downwards and make it a little less visible. Though yeah I have a simmilar problem, though I have the added problem of a ball bulge, since my proportions are ignored in cothing industry-my hips are higher than the average guy by an inch, though this can create problems-. I have a similar size (5×5 soft plus really big balls) and there really isn't much you can do about it. I have found that compression shorts conceal the bulge best but since those are uncomfortable to wear I usually have boxer briefs. I can't wear shorts to school because it is so noticeable. In the showers I am definitely bigger than most people, but the worst thing that happens is people ask me if I'm hard. They usually just stare or sometimes compliment it. It is a pretty nice problem to have though so I wouldn't change anything.

I have seen stats that say caucasians are decent sized. It's in relation to the WORLD. That includes Asians lol. Not just Africans haha.

I understand what you mean as far as underwear is concerned as I'm the same size as you, but at the end of the day people don't often see me in just my underwear so it doesn't bother me too much. And my bulge in my trousers I've just come to accept haha.

And yeah, I've had people stare at me when I've been in the showers at the swimming pool and when I'm walking to/from the pool. Use to bother me, but it's mostly people around my age who stare so now I've just embraced it :p
