Hi!
I am just 14 years old, but I want to try a sex toy like a vibrator. How can I get one? I don't know where they are sold and I would not enter such a place anyway since I think they are adult sex shops and stuff. Also, is it legal for me to buy a vibrator or am I too young? I can't order one online because I don't have my own credit card and dad would see the transaction and ask about it. I can't say it's eg books either, because I guess he would get confirmation emails. He is also the one who drives down and picks up the mail, so he would see it.
Also what kind of toy should I get? I went on Amazon and there were literally hundreds of different models and they seem to do slightly different things.
Any tips? No way am I asking my sister to help me either.

This may sound horrible, but I borrow a massager from my mom. My mom doesn't know, but my grandma found it, and doesn't care. Maybe you can try to find a back massager in your mom's room. Maybe say you need it for cramps if you have gotten your period.

Ew! Gross! But there is a problem with that plan. I don't live with my mom and she is on the east coast and I am in AZ.

Woah, man! She doesn't use it as a vibe! I don't think it's been used at all! Man, that did sound creepy. Okay. I have no idea about this.

Well something like a vibrating toothbrush or small massager is easy to get and won't be as suspicious.

Don't get fool by the marketing behind products, that goes for any type of product on the market. What if you get one and it doesn't work well with your body type, or the material it's made out of causes an allergic reaction to your biology.
Most people have to have older friends beyond the age of 18 to help them out, but you risk arming that friend with gossip, so only a close trusted friend could help in this scenario.
Given your mom lives far away, you could ask her as she might have some empathy for your situation.
Is your dad really uptight and prudish, the reason you won't ask or is it due to embarrassment? Some dad's are cool about it and others are not.

No dad is definitely not a prude but I still don't dare talk to him about sex and girl issues. My mother is rather prudish though, and she gets embarassed when I ask her about sex stuff and rarely explains stuff. I like this forum because here I can ask all the questions I have.
There is no way I'm going to ask a friend for help to get a vibrator. Too shy.

Amelia - you don't have a sex toy either?

This isn't puberty related. :locked:
There are plenty of other resources to get help with this, but VT isn't one of them. Just be careful and informed before doing anything.
