Hey guys, I was just thinking about this earlier and thought I would get some one else's opinion on it. So, I talk to allot of people in school but I don't hang out much with them outside of school, other than the weekends, when I ask these people to hang out they don't want to. They literally just say no, but they act like it's fine and keep on talking to me at school all the time, I don't understand why they don't want to hang out. Any ideas?

I'm like that myself. I don't think it's anything personal, they just feel more comfortable at home. Or maybe they just see you as a "school friend". Someone who you hang out with at school but don't really think about when its on your free time. Sorry if this didn't really help.

Probably want to keep school life separate from home life.
People are like that with jobs to. Like best buddies at work, but never have anything to to with each other off the clock.

Should I just outright ask them why not and see if they change their minds? Their fun people at school, don't see the reason not to hang outside of school

Basically everyone I know is like that. I would be honest with them, say you really want a serious friendship, and ask them why they aren't willing to hang out outside of school.

I'll try, we text, we play games over the internet, so I don't see why they wouldn't want to. I'm just afraid of ruining the what ever type of relationship we have now and making it awkward for the rest of the year having them in my classes... I know they hang out with other people, but it's like when I'm in their classes they act like we're friends, but afterwards we text a little and play games.

I don't think you should take it that personally
