Okay so here's the deal. I have been terrified of shaving. My friends laughed at me for not shaving. Ive just recently trimmed, and I've wanted to try and shave because it hasn't grown back as much. So my question is, does shaving help grow hair back faster? And also, how do i shave without hurting myself or being seen? I can do it home alone, but I don't know how to take a razor or something without raising suspicion. Thanks.

i'm guessing you mean shaving pubic hair? because if you have enough facial hair to trim you could grow a mustache or beard and why shave?
shaving hair, anywhere, doesn't make it grow back faster or slower. and if it's your pubes you don't want to shave, don't. if your friends like to shave theirs that's up to them. trimming or leaving them natural is perfectly fine. like anything else in your life, you make the choice, not your friends, and try not to be pressured to do something you don't want to.

It is my pubic hair I am talking about. And I do want to shave it. I'm tired of just trimming it

So, shaving actually doesn't make hair grow faster. Shave really slowly, use lots of shaving cream, and move your razor down not up.

There is a cream you can put on too to get the hair off.

Ya. It's called nair. That's one brand name. There are others.
But it sounds like you don't want your family to find out. So obviously you don't want to ask them to buy shaving stuff for you. And you can't borrow theirs cuz they will know. You either have to buy your own and hide it or use scissors to trim it real short and borrow somebody's electric shaver and clean it REAL good before returning it.

There's nothing much to add really than what's been said. If you want to do it, just make sure your pubes are wet, rub the shaving cream in properly (right down to the skin) and use the razor to shave with the grain (upwards).

my friend are the complet opposite lol. You do not have to worry about shaving just go
slow and down, remember to clean the area you shaved after to avoid infection

you're more adventurous than i to shave down there, i just use clippers to keep it short. did shave from the base up once wasn't terrible but a bit itchy growing back in
my best advice use a NEW razor don't want to irritate yourself

You don't have to shave if you don't want to. I would do it in the shower too so that nobody sees you

Why do you need to be bald down there? you're not a preteenager or are you? Pubic hair has it's purpose and it's nice to trim and keep clean, but no need to shave and that goes for girls too.

This is exactly right. I'm a proponent of shaving your pubic area, but it's your own choice. It may be best to put up with your friends' taunts until you have enough facial hair to warrant getting a razor. Otherwise, you can just buy one when you get a license. Whichever's sooner, lol.
