How do I ask

Just wondering, I am curious but don't want to just ask a friend to mess around cause that would be weird and could potentially ruin a friendship. Anybody have any suggestions or feedback on how they would or did handle this?

I can't really give a great answer since I have no past experiences. I'd say to try to bring up the topic about puberty and what not, and see how it goes from there. Maybe even say "I'm a bit curious about this stuff, what about you?" kind of ordeal.
