Can anyone tell me how to download a youtube video into a music file so that i can put it on a CD and use it as accompaniment for my talent competition performance? I will be playing sax and need a piano accompaniment to go along with it.

I won't give you links, because I'm fairly certain that it's illegal, but there are many YouTube video downloaders which can download what you want in .mp4 format. Afterwards, you can find a .mp4 to .mp3 converter, or even use default audio editing software to separate the video. All of these can be found with a quick and simple Google search.

All you have to do is type into google Youtube to MP3 converter.

you can find programs to do this but it's illegal, so think twice, okay.

Type "YouTube to mp3 downloader" into your search bar. It's a website hosted program that you dont need to download

I suspect some website that makes it able for you to do illegal downloads is full of malware.

I suspect some website that makes it able for you to do illegal downloads is full of malware. In truth, very few of them do have malware. Tools like YT>MP3 are so common and requested that if one isn't legitimate it is automatically ignored. I can assure you all VTers that at least the first few pages are safe. I have a program thats called youtube to mp4 converter, works well and it's free

But anyways, I did it.
The reason I asked here was I wanted to know how other people do it.
I was getting a recording of the instrumental of a piece so that I can play with it as an accompaniment.
And also, considering I was using my school laptop, I didn't want to download something and get a bunch
of malware. But again, thanks for being a smart-ass, it's highly appreciated.

My main purpose is there are singles on youtube from some albums I'm planning on buying. I download the singles so I can listen to them more easily then delete the downloads once I have the albums on CD. Currently I've done this with Follow Me Down by The Pretty Reckless and Can't Rely On You by Paloma Faith but I also did with Heart Attack last year by Demi Lovato :rolleyes:

Be very careful when you're downloading it. If necessary, delete it once you used it to avoid copyright issues.
