Double Olympic champion Tina Maze is among six female athletes shortlisted for the Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year, one of the most prestigious sports awards in the world.
She is up against German footballer Nadine Angerer, US swimmer Missy Franklin, Jamaican track-and-field star Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce, Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva, and US tennis player Serena Williams.
Maze, who won the downhill and giant slalom golds in Sochi, is nominated for her achievements in 2013, when she won the overall Alpine Skiing World Cup and the Super G world title and broke the all-time record with her World Cup points tally.
The award, conferred by the Laureus World Sports Academy, will be handed out in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 26 March.
