For me the premise of the question is that masturbation is something like smoking, i.e. has these properties:

Those that do it seemt o enjoy it
It is addictive
It is bad for your health

and that therefore to avoid the addiction and harm to your health it may be better never to start and that is indeed how I feel about smoking. I figure if I never do it I won't miss it and that has worked out well for me.
