Changing positions

So this might not be the right forum for this, so if it's moved it's cool.

I'm mostly into girls but I'm still curious about some aspects of sex in general.

When you are all in the middle of having sex, how do signal to each other that you want to change positions? Do you actually say let's do doggy, or I want to be on top? in videos I've seen, they just do it but I know that's probably directed and stuff. Sorry if this sounds really stupid

When I started sleep with my boyfriend, we spoke about what we will do, where we want to touch the other or which position want.

Now we know, what we have to like and if me or him start changing position, the other one know it. It is not 100 percent, sometimes we must speak until now, but most to know.
