I'm really out of shape, and I've been trying to run, but I've realized that now, I can't even jog for more than a minute, and I get tired of walking pretty quick too. I've never been this out of shape before, and I realize how urgent it's getting when I can barely run anymore. Any tips to get myself able to run longer so I can actually start losing some weight?

Look the cornerstone of fitness is strength training, flexibilty and cardio.
First as to running start of running a short distance and over time increase the distance, take baby steps with it,but I do suggest hitting the weights as well.
Not only will it strengthen your muscles but it'll make your heart and lungs work harder as well,I believe you can build superior endurance from a combination of exercising with weights 3 days aweek and running on 2 of the days you are not working out

You have to build it up a little bit at a time. If you jog for 1 minute, then jog for 1 minute and 10 seconds next time. You have to stay with it daily because you will just go back to square one if you stagnate. Also I've heard using a dance pad is a great way to lose weight. More fun and less grueling than running. However... cutting calories is the most important thing. It won't do you any good if you lose weight and then gain it back again. Your diet is why you are overweight, so you need to work on that. Do not reward yourself with a bowl of ice cream after a workout.

Swimming will help a ton. At first it is really difficult, but you will improve. Running is also a great exercise.
