Hey, I've just started dating this boy I've been talking to and everything is going smoothly but today when we was talking he said I was being kind of clingy. Can anyone advice me on what to do? This is the first time I've been told this.

I had this with my ex. it's unhealthy for you to be clingy. It can annoy one person and then the love can go down. So, yeah just...easeeee it upp

Instead of asking the question on this forum, you should ask him what he means or how are you being clingy. Don't do it defensively, just tell him you want to understand how you're being clingy so you can stop.

Ive thought about doing this but won't that seem, desperate possibly? Or just plain odd?

It doesn't seem desperate to me or even odd. Is this guy still interested in you?
If so, just say sorry for "being clingy, I wasn't aware I was doing it. Just tell me what I was doing and I'll stop." Then follow his lead if you want to make something happen with him.

Unfortunately, we thought it was best for us to go our own separate ways. He felt we were on two different levels of the relationship and that it wasn't working.

Sorry to hear that :/
Some people think relationships are a chasing game; and that there should always be a cat and a mouse.
I disagree, but partners should at times give each another some space and, no, that does not mean "stay away".

sorry to hear that man. that happens sometimes. as sad as it is, it also means you will have the chance to find someone who is going to feel the same way about you as you do about them, even if it does take some time to find that person

take the hint . it's obvious you're texting him or being around him too much and he feels uncomfortable .

maybe it's good you broke up , now you can find someone who'll appreciate your clingy ways .
