HI all
I've had a pain in my ribs for the best part of a month now, and no-one knows what's wrong with me!
I've seen two different doctors, who know next to nothing. I've had scans and xrays so that can rule out gallstones and broken bones. I was wondering if any of you friendly people have any ideas? It's starting to really affect life

Much appreciated
Hannah

If you sleep on your stomach that might be it.

I've been told that i normally move around quite a lot when I sleep. Maybe I've pulled a muscle or something? Although I doubt they'd prescribe tramadol for a pulled muscle.

Some sort of heavy exercising or stretching that you're not used to?
Possible that you've pulled something...

Well at least its been checked and nothing serious was found.
I had a weird heartbeat problem and while they could not figure out what was causing it, they were able to rule out it being anything serious.

Tramadol is very strong so the docs must realise the pain is severe I doubt pulled muscle would sho on x ray or scans -

My bro just said a chiropractor could maybe help - ask your doc

I'll ask the doc about that when I see him tomorrow,
Thanks for all the suggestions folks. I'll keep you posted.

A quick update on things for anyone who may be interested. They've stopped me from taking any more tramadol as it was making me dizzy and nauseous, they have replaced it with a big pink tablet that doesn't work as well on the pain. My doctor also says it could be 4-6 weeks before it's all cleared up. Just got to hang in there I suppose.
