So, according to med books and the internet, your height is the tallest in the morning, right after you get up. So should I measure my height then or right before I go to bed? Or should I try and measure sometime in between? Also, which would be my true height?

Does it really matter? It doesn't have to be precise does it? I mean you could ask more questions like should you try to stretch your body while measuring or be natural. Socks or not. Haircut or not. Etc. I bet morning to night may account for a quarter of an inch at most.

Yeah I guess it doesn't really matter. Idk, I just get fixated on the things I feel like should be bigger because I don't feel like any guy would want to be with me when there are better looking guys out there, and then want to see if there's any change in said thing because I think that would somehow magically "fix" all my insecurities, which is a stupid way of thinking, I know. I just can't seem to stop no matter how hard I try.

You just have to like yourself before anyone wants to date you. Confidence is sexy. Confidence. Not cockiness. Fuck how tall you are. Only control stuff you can control. If it's any consolation I tend to fixate on weird things like anatomy and physiology. I think its weird the body shrinks during the day. But I don't worry about my height.

Thanks, gravity is weird xD. I'm weird though. Like, sometimes I can be super confident and then randomly something'll happen and then I feel like I'm the most useless thing ever.

I'd measure in the morning if a larger figure would please you better. Once you have done it once, for tracking your own height, you could just stick to the same time. For comparison with others you don't know what time they measured so I wouldn't worry to much and just accept that it is slightly approximate.

I never look at the clock before measuring my height. If there is a difference Im sure that its not much.

I think it really doesn't matter what time of day that you measure your height because the difference between morning and nighttime on any given day probably is only tenths of an inch.

Yes, remember height times width

why dont you do a running graph of your height during various times of the day and compare after about a weeks time?

Yup. In the morning I bet you'll be as much as a full inch taller than in the evening.

Shouldn't make a difference

That's pretty typical. The confidence thing. I'm extremely confident I'd say but there are days when I wish I could live by myself in the mountains. Lol.

Measure in the morning, right after you wake up like it said. The air in between your bones has not compressed yet so you're about an inch taller. But you'd have to be consistent, so if you choose to do it in the morning that's when you'll always have to measure yourself.

if med books say to measure in the morning why would you ask for a different answer here? do you think teenage boys know more than a medical study?
