do your parents know when you have a lover or do you keep it a secret?

today i was at church with dad and his gf and my boyfriend, but dad doesn't know he's my boyfriend. dad might know but we don't do any kissing or things in church.
my parish priest knows because of confession

Yep they do. I can bring boys and girls home anytime. My parents don't mind.

I always made sure both of my parents knew when I started talking to someone. When my mom was alive, she was the one I went to for relationship advice. I never felt that comfortable with my dad though.

my dad saw my bf being nice to me in church so i told him after that and now my bf can visit as long as dad is close to us :yes:

but i think of lover as anyone you can call your boyfriend (or gf in your case) :D
