Bi guy interested in another guy

So I have this friend that I met this year. He's a freshman and I'm a sophmore. I'm bisexual. He recently told me he thinks he's bi but he's kind of confused. I think he's cute and I told him this. I asked him if he wanted to talk and he was interested and we have been talking to each other and hanging out a lot. I want to take it to another level and try and date him but I don't know how.
