Hey guys, I am 16 years old. Is it normal to be pee shy? Like whenever i try to go at a urinal, it wont come out. How can i fix this problem?
It is very annoying.

I'm not but I've heard of it. Idk what percentage of people are. So you can't EVER? Even if nobody is in room? Even if you have to go REALLY bad? What do you do? Go to the stalls? Can you pee outside like in the woods/bushes with other people around?

Thanks for your response. I usually go in the stalls. It's not impossible for me to go in the urinals but it just takes a little bit longer for the pee to come out.

That happens like once every 500 pees for me. It's obviously mental but idk how soneone can get over it besides to relax. Maybe pull your underwear low so it's not touching your junk and restricting your flow. Like just let your dick hang lol.

Omg I thought I was the only one! I am the exact way, can't use a urinal for whatever reason, so I often just avoid having to use public bathrooms

I've heard if you can pee outside next to other people ok then you will know it's actually the urinals and getting used to that as opposed to actually peeing in public and possibly having somebody see your dick while you pee.

On my own I'm fine. If there someone else, I use a stall for that reason.

When I was a real little kid (maybe 3 or 4) they wanted me to go pee and given them a urine sample in the pediatrician's office. I was there with my pants pulled down and there was NO WAY I could pee. Then the nurse said, "Let me help". (Oh no! What's she gonna do??)
She gently rubbed one finger along the top half of my butt crack, just the area where your two butt cheeks come together. That apparently stimulates a nerve that MAKES YOUR BLADDER CONTRACT. Try it at home! It really works!
(You couldn't do this at a urinal, but you certainly could do it in a stall if you needed to.)

Never had this problem..I use urinals and just pull it out and go.
I guess growing up peeing with my brother and dad outside has helped.

Sometimes it starts a little slow for me if someone is right next to me. I just try to relax and listen to the water running.

Some people tend to be super modest. It's never been a big deal for me for others guys or girls for that matter to see my dick. I kind of like it when other guys look at me. I really don't know how you would get over not being able to pee. I think if you just got more relaxed about it and quit worrying about it and just went it would get better.

Try making your mind a blank. Just think of the next thing you're doing when you're finished in the bathroom.

Closing my eyes helps. But also how you hold your penis matters i think. Like some will say to just let it rest on your underwear and not hold it makes you more exposed but it gets my mind off it so i can go easier. Also if ya stand real close to the urinal you get more privacy but it puts your mind on how nervous so i stand back a bit

I can def go through phases of being pee shy. In public restrooms I tend to go for the stall. If there's someone else in the public restroom and it's quiet, I have a hard time, but let's say it's like the mall and there's music playing somewhere, I have less of a hard time with it.

Like it was mentioned, this is definitely a modesty thing. You get tense, especially when there are other guys at the stalls, and your muscles just don't let you pee. I'd recommend not thinking about trying to pee but just try to relax.

I'm the same. I'm trying to train myself to go. so if the coast is clear I will use the urinal. If someone comes in as I'm peeing I'm fine. but if I haven't started yet I still cant go

The other thing i've tried is to hold till i gotta go really bad and then use a urinal, since i gotta pee so bad it comes out eventually. Then the next it gets easier since i had success
But i also had this problem as a young kid and my friend helped by having us go in the bathroom and pee in the toilet together. You might be too old for this now but it helped me calm down about going in public

I don't understand how this can be a modesty thing. Nobody can see your dick unless you stand way back from the urinal or the guy next to you turns his neck all the way over to you (which is creepy af).

I have that problem too. Sometimes the guy next to me will finish peeing and Ive been standing at the urinal the whole time waiting for it to start. Once he walks away out it comes.
