Some of the boys on the swim team use a cream to shave there privates. Other use a shaver. Cream looks like it makes it smoother. Anyone else use cream or prefer shaving>

I've only ever shaved. Just out of curiosity do most boys have no hair down there?

I shave but am thinking about using cream. I heard if you use cream you stay smoother longer.

I've only used cream once. Worked great. Seemed to last longer than shaving. A cream will get closer than close. Takes entire hair out! Only downfall to cream is weird smell and some people have super sensitive skin that could not like cream.

From what I hear it's not every swimmer but "traditional" ones. Average swimmers at high school may not even shave legs if they are on team just to have fun. Swimmers who want to medal and are serious will shave all hair that is not covered by a cap or swimsuit. Reason being that hair creates drag and us not aerodynamic or fast. There is really no reason for swimmers to shave their heads or privates since they are covered. But since males usrd to swim naked many years ago some traditional swimmers still shave privates out of tradition. I know some swimmers that don't normally do it but its like a team tradition to shave it before state Championships if you qualify.

It is called depilatory cream. I don't have any pubes yet so no need yet. But couple swimmers on the team use it --all over including their pubes.

If you are asking about how to shave pubes when you get them, then using shaving cream or gel is the way to go because if you use a manual razor down there without anything to glide the razor, then it is going to be really uncomfortable.
If you are asking how to shave your pubes, in general, when you get them, then using a manual razor or electric one is totally fine.
If you are asking about using products such as "Nair" on your pubes, then never use such products down there. It says right on the product itself not to use the hair removal product on genitals.
