When you imagine things like that, you have to tell yourself that it's just fantasy. It's okay for the moment, but fantasy will stay fantasy and won't become reality. You have to get yourself to be aware of that and seperate fantasy and reality, the one is for your own in your private time, the other one is the official one when you talk/chat with somebody.
If you manage to seperate those two things, it might help you.

You are not accountable to anyone else about what goes on in your head and that includes getting off thinking about them. After all, it is not as if it hurts the person you are thinking about in any way.
