Hey all,
so im a 20 year old male in Melbourne Australia.
I have a tight foreskin, i believe that its called phimosis.
bascaly my foreskin retracts enough so that i can see only a small amount of my head. it doesn't go back far, meaning that i can't retract the skin.
Im wondering do any other guys on here have this?
and if so, what are your thoughts?
and do you guys think i should see someone for this, live like this or other?
thanks in advance

I use to have the same issue. You can fix it yourself but have to be patient with it. Each day, a few times a day you need to pull the skin back as far as you can without hurting yourself. This needs to be done while your soft and hard. Your skin will stretch itself out. Just work on it slowly and patiently.
This is what worked for me. Please feel free to message me with any questions or concerns.

According to this article from the NHS in the UK (http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/phimosis/Pages/Introduction.aspx) treating phimosis is only necessary if it leads to other problems like the head or foreskin become irritated or inflamed.
I have also seen a guy in porn whose foreskin didn't retract and he was still able to have sex.
If you do want to loosen it you could start with some strecthing. That may work better with the addition of some steroid cream. Here we can get a mild steroid cream from the pharmacy and stronger cream is available on prescription.

Just a few minutes. Nothing crazy. Maybe 2 to 3 minutes soft and hard 2 to 3 times a day. Or whenever you have time and wanna do it.

I have been able to have sex fine, but it sometimes hurts a bit if its in a tight place, and i don't think i get as much pleasure out of sex, as others do

Have you tried or research foreskin stretching techniques? You can try Google phimosis and get advice there. You also may want to talk to your doctor. They can prescribe ointments and salves to help loosen and stretch your foreskin.

I had the same issue when I was younger. I'd suggest going to your doctor. There is a steroid cream that can loosen the foreskin, but it does not always work. Worth a try certainly.

Not had it myself, but the advice has been good so far. As well as the stretching exercises, doctors can provide steroid cream to help too. Circumcision is really only a last resort if it's causing you pain or any other health issues.

I would just tell him you have phimosis and he'll know. It's better than having a school physical, with your mother in the room, which is what happened to me. :(

Yeah its annoying i get embarrased by it when i try to clean it like in a locker room
Just tell the doc you have phimosis since you know and he will get it. Or wait till a physical and you'll have the perfect excuse since he'll see. You can either show him how far it retracts or he can test it. But probly he would just tell ya the same as us, do exercise. But he might give you a cream and if you end up needing circumcision, the sooner u get the problem on record the sooner it gets approved....and the sooner its solved either way

There is no point in beating around the bush - you need to tell him what the problem is. If you don't want to sound crass you can use the "proper" names like "penis" etc. but I am sure he would understand just as well if you used common terms - it won't be the first time he's heard them. Doctors have to deal with other sexual ailments, incontinence, haemerroids, etc. so he'll take it in his stride.

I was 13 but I had problems earlier in life .. it was embarrassing as hell as my mum did the talking .. until I said I didn't want her in the room for the examination.
He was really really cool about it and they know it's not the easiest discussion to be having. I'm sure once you start talking the right words will come out
