I just had one recently, and instead of copying that huge list of things I'll just sum it up here: female doc, family doc so I was very comfortable with her, it was a general physical, breast and external examination, plus some probing cuz of some discomfort I had with my period (mom was worried). I was fully nude for most of it, mom was there, and she just covered a lot of safety subjects, since she was aware I was active. It went really well, and I didn't feel uncomfortable. But if you didn't know your doc, or if it was a guy, then I would prob have felt differently!

I think different countries take different approaches and have different cultures regarding ob/gyn visits. Katie, you will probably be very nervous your first visit, but the ob/gyn knows this and will try to make it as easy as possible. It is nonetheless an uncomfortable private experience. My visits, even being bottomless and being uncomfortable during while having my temperature taken and during the exams, it gets easier.

I don't know why your mom wants you to have a check up? I had my first one because I thought I had complications after sex. There's nothing to worry about. All doctors are different so I don't know how a survey will answer these questions? You can have your mom or a nurse in the room. Where I go the first thing that happens is the nurse takes your blood presure, takes your weight and height and asks you medical questions. After she asks you to change into a gown. Yes you're completely naked underneath. No panties or bra. You can keep your socks on tho. A few minutes later the doctor comes in and asks you more questions about your period and sexual activity. The doctor might check your breasts or aleast look at them. You will get a pelvic exam. If the doctor uses enough lube it won't hurt. You might feel presure or not much at all. if you haven't had sex the doctor might not do a pap smear. If he does that's uncomfortable but it's a few seconds. He also might not do an anal exam. If he does you're going to feel presure. After the exam you'll wipe yourself off and get dressed. Yes you will be very wet after. I don't know if this helped you. I recommend you seeing female doctor.
