So, I haven't heard from my best friend in about a month, and I miss him a lot. like, a lot a lot. We only get to talk online since he lives kinda far away, but we're used to talking literally all day every day and he's a huge part of my life and it actually hurts not getting to talk to him. I'm also worried and feeling kinda selfish cause I know he probably misses me too, and maybe he's sick or something, idk. I'm just miserable without him. anyone else felt like this before? What do you do when you really miss someone?
also sorry if this is in the wrong section or something.

I just do something I enjoy doing to take my mind off of it. I've felt this way before and it completely sucks.

Going through the exact same thing here. I'm going through one of my biggest fights ever, with my best friend and it hurts that I can't talk to him and tell him that I miss him so freakin' much.
What hurts more, though, is just sitting around and waiting for him to call or text. Seriously, the best thing you could do is get out, do something you love. Watch a movie, or Friends or some TV show you love. Just don't stay in your room staring at your phone like I do :(
Hope it all works out for you in the end brotha!

thanks for the replies guys. Doing things to take my mind off it is what I've been doing, but the pain is still there. Guess I'll hang in there some more

I usually just cry a lot and try to distract myself.

I know what you're going through. In a way, it's happened to me with my online pals here on VT. I've met some damn amazing people on here but I'm just too preoccupied with school, chores, and life in general. It hurts like a bitch, but I know I can't change myself to be more social. It's just something I lack =\
But that being said, be upfront about it if you really, really want things to change. If you beat around the bush with stuff like this it has the possibility of creating more problems. However, me being on the other side of the situation, I will just sometimes just shrug when people say they miss how it used to be after not talking for months. Just use your judgement on what's a good course of action. It may not be the answer you're looking for, but sometimes the best way to handle a situation is to let it go. And if he says "screw you", then believe me. There's always going to be more amazing people in the world you meet. :)

Call him if you can, that always helps me when I miss someone, hearing their voice helps.

The best thing to do, but its not easy, is to continue on living. I mean find something u like to do, go out with other friends. Time will go faster that way.

I print out a picture of the persons face and sellotape it to an inflatable doll. The rest of the details arent allowed to be shared here.
Really tho, I just do the basic and try to do things to distract myself like kicking a ball around, playing drums and cycling :)

So I've been trying to keep my mind off of it with school, reading our old conversations, and other stuff. So now I'm only really miserable at night before i fall asleep and in the mornings when I first wake up, so I guess that's better. Thanks again for all the replies :)

Hey man, i feel the exact same, its almost been a month since my best friend has been away, i miss him soo much and he's proberly missing me more. And yes it does hurt the most when i can't talk to him, i use to speak to him all the time and now hes gone for ages.. It hurts but you just got to do stuff to try take your mind of it. I always try just doing what i do normally witch for me is gaming and music to take my mind of stuff.
I hope hes ok and i'm always here if you need me. ;)

I miss some of my friends from school and even though I can talk to them I can't bring myself to do it even over facebook because I feel my social skills have gotten even worse since last speaking to them and I'd feel even more awkward... :| so I don't do anything when I miss people, I just make new friends instead if I'm in a situation where I won't be seeing the old friends again :(
