I'm 18 and uncircumcised but keep toying with the idea of having it done at some point. I know only one person in my grade who also isn't (but he transferred from Germany where he said nobody is) and keep thinking its a good idea. I guess my question is whether I should have it done and what age can I have it done at. I think I will have it done in a few months at college without telling my parents. Should I talk to my parents about it?

well just a couple of thoughts from one who is circumcised from what i have heard unless it is a medical reason there is no reason to be circumcised at your age i would rather not be but then i had no choice in the matter as far as telling your parents i think that is fine but the ultimate decision is yours you are an adult since your 18 so decisions about your body should be yours but i'd let them know so the relationship between you can remain good

Its becoming less popular in america. Only 25 percent of the world is done anyway but if you wanna follow ur friends then theata yr choice. I dont like the look of cut dicks though.

You don't have to talk to them about it , ultimately , it's your decision .

It is completely up to you if you talk to your parents and it is also up to you if you have it done. On the other hand, to me, being like those around you is a poor reason for undergoing surgery. You wouldn't have your legs lengthened or shortened to be more similar in height to those around you (if you weren't already similar in height) so why do it with your penis? Also, I think the needing to be like everyone else feeling will pass.
If your penis works well, I'd leave it alone (I mean don't cut it, not don't touch it)

I would never get circumcised unless it was absolutely medically necessary. It is becoming more acceptable in the USA to not circumcise boys. I would keep it man. Look at it this way you have something special all those others don't. I bet secretly a lot of guys envy you.

At 18 I don't think that anyone can stop you from elective health procedures.
Why do you want to have it done? Are you just really curious? Do you think it looks better? Have you convinced yourself that its better?
To be honest with you, I'm uncut, but for me the answer to all of the above questions is yes. I'm getting cut in March for medical reasons. For me it was phimosis that helped me make the decision.

If you want to do it then you should. Just make sure it's what you really want. I understand that having it done as an adult can be very painful.

Nah, it's not painful, even the night erections didn't hurt for me.
For me getting cut was the best thing ever done with my sexual life.
Sex and orgasms feel so much better now.

Should I talk to my parents about it? I waited until 18 and just did it no regrets :-)

well firstly
Why would you like to get it done? Really think about that.
Secondly, the procedure is irreversible, so you have to be very sure of what you want and why you want it and not just because you're 'toying' with the idea.
Thirdly I think as long as you're 18 you don't need parents permit to get it done. You can do it without telling them

I'm circumcised and happy with that but it's up to you. I don't know your reasons.
Also I'm cut since I was just 8 days old so it's a very different situation.
Regarding telling your parents, if you still live with them I'd tell them otherwise not.

first you can do it at any age. if you are an adult, then you dont need your parents agreement to do it, but there is no shame in doing it, so there is no reason for you to hide it
Also mind the price, it's not free unless you negociate ^^
