So in November my girlfriend broke up with me after being in a relationship for a couple months. We split up in a good way. I haven't spoken to her since we broke up. I did run into her a couple of times. The first time she didn't see me but I was in a hurry so I couldn't speak to her. The second time was last week. I was walking through Amsterdam, just listening to music when I noticed someone was looking at me. So I looked up and it was her. She seemed genuinly happy to see me, but I panicked and acted like I didn't see her (don't know why I panicked).

So I haven't spoken to her since we broke up, but in 2 days is her birthday and she is throwing a huge party. When we broke up she said that I was definitely still invited and could bring a friend. I am really doubting if I should go, as I still miss her a lot and I think going will make that feeling even stronger.

So my question to you is should I go? And should I message her tomorrow so that I have at least talked to her once after the break up so it won't be the first time we speak in over a month?

Up to you.

Expect a few reactions, if you go is she the type to show off a new guy to make you jelly?

This might not happen but brace for things like that.

I agree. I also think you should go. And just be very mature about everything and be happy for her no matter what. If she does do that then you'll just look like the better person

I would deffo talk to her over Facebook or whatever before you go so that you have at least had a chat. If you want to go then maybe go along at least for a while, it might be good fun and that but have a plan that if things just get awkward or if she's trying to make you jealous then you can leave early without too much hassle.

Thanks for your advices. As Emily said I'll go but if she is trying to make me jealous I'll just leave early. Maybe it'll be a good thing to go. Thanks again
