Start a thread in Family and Friends titled something like "Teens who are currently or have been in foster care".

Too often people who make suggestions, never seem to want to implement what they are asking for to make it happen.

If a thread gets really super busy, then maybe the next step would be to consider a new forum. Too many forums can lead to confusion and can make it hard to focus on discussion with the discussions spread all over the place.

There are many great ideas for new forums on this site. I can't speak for the staff, but I know the traffic the forum would attract is a major consideration. That's why forum topics tend to be very generalised. So your idea, even though it definitely has merit, wouldn't create enough traffic to justify an entire forum for it. The idea of using the Family & Friends forum that others have suggested is the best way to go and I would be posting your topic there.

I think that's a good idea i know someone who is in fostercare and I think it would be really good to have a topic like that for those people.

It would be better to just make a new post in the forum to talk about it I guess because the only subforums that seem to get a lot of attention are in the P101 category. I could probably do with talking to other people with these disabilities I've been "blessed" with and no one posts in the Mental Illness forum either (I would, but I hate starting new posts on forums which is a bit of a problem)

I think it would be a good idea to add a forum for teens who are currently or have been in foster care. I believe it would be good for them to be able to share their experiences with other people who know what they have gone through.

Just an idea, figured I would post it and see what happens.

I agree it is good for people share a common experience - But better to start a thread and see how it goes from there and of course many in care might not want to post about that at all.
