I've been thinking about getting circumcised and I told my doctor already but he said that he wont allow me until I'm 18 (I'm 17 rn) but still think about it. Should I go for it?

do you want to be circumcised for appearance or do you have problems with your foreskin? i'm cut, from birth and loose, and happy with my penis, how it looks and how the remaining skin feels when i masturbate. i do like how an uncut penis looks myself, but have never had the chance to masturbate one.

that's probably why your doctor won't do it until you're an adult.
it's definitely your choice, just be sure you really want it, can't put it back on.

if you decide to have it done, i would recommend a very loose cut. one of my friends is cut pretty tight and he needs to use lube to masturbate. he wishes he had a loose cut like mine is. at least you can make that choice as we couldn't so me and my brother got lucky with a loose one.

I think there are number of things to consider before going ahead with this.

1. A TV programme I was watching recently said that puberty is a time when people are more concerned about being looked at than at any other time in their lives. That means even though looking like those around you may seem important now, that importance will likely fade with time. Getting circumcised is permanent, though.

2. Being cut may be the norm where you are, but worldwide it is the exception. Being uncut in the natural state of the penis. The majority of people in the world leave it like that. The Mursi and Surma tribes in Ethiopia have a tradition for their women to wear a "lip plate" to stretch their lips. What would you say to a woman from one of those tribes who was considering doing the same? She may feel like the odd one out if she doesn't follow the tribal tradition but most of us find it rather odd to stretch your lips when they work perfectly well unstretched.

3. There are nerve endings that give you pleasure that would be permanently removed by circumcision. Clearly enough people are circumcised and still very much enjoy their penises that there is still much pleasure to be had but it is hard to be sure how much you would miss the stimulation of those extra nerve endings and you can't "try before you buy".

If after all that you want to go ahead then it is obviously your right to make the choice but only once the law considers you to be an adult, hence why your doctor won't arrange it as elective (rather than medically required) surgery until you're 18.

If you circumcised your penis is not fully lost sensitive but it will make your penis to less sensitive so when you has a sex it will be long lasting.2.your penis will be more sexy and sometime if your girlfriend see your penis she will feel like to has sex with your at the same time too and your girlfriend will be more fastly climax.

I'm not here to encourage you to get it done, however, it is up to you. Please do plenty of research before you get the snip. You are not able to get the procedure done because you will need a parent's consent. However, I'd wait until you're 18, meanwhile, review educational sites (not pro circ or intactivists) before you decide. I have been circumcised for medical reasons and if you'd like to know what to expect, I'm more than willing to answer some questions you might have.

I made my own analogy:

You have 5$ left and your Super thirsty for Starbucks, you go to a to order what you always get. A $5 mocha, you know it's good, cause you've gotten it a lot. Except your friends decide to get super intense dark chocolate lattes just because it looks cool everywhere, advertised on tv and such.

The question is, should you get an intense dark latte just cause everyone else did? If you get it, you can't refund it. It won't be a win win. Just stick with what you are already comfortable with

I tried my best to be helpful, I hope I helped

If you want to get cut just do it, I did it later in my life and it's awesome, never had regrets, didn't have any medical problems, but for me it feels great.

Wait a little longer before you make your choice, it is not easy to restore.
The loose cut is what I was lucky to get so that you still have some skin for protection.
My girl friends have all liked it, no complaints. I still have to much feeling and often issues with PE.

You are in to hurry at this point, wait till you are 18 and talk to several people before have anything done.

Because it's a cosmetic choice then yes it is his doctors choice as he's legally not allowed to make the choice for himself till he's 18

You probably should roll up your foreskin and walk around for a day. If you like it, go for the surgery. I remember when I got it done, my bare gland rubbing against my briefs and found very uncomfortable.

Well I guess getting circumcised is a personal choice for you. I'm guessing your doctor won't do it right away because maybe he wants you to think about it and maybe he doesn't want to do without a real medical reason. I'm uncut and I like the way it looks.

Just find a different doctor. There are many that will do it right now (of course, your parents have to sign).

Maybe you can do that before you're adult if your legal guardian agrees. But yes, you should really consider "mutilating" your penis because that's not a medical emergency.
The different story exists if you're having a trouble retracting the foreskin, that's when the doctor considers circumcision earlier.
If you insist, maybe you should ask your legal guardian first.

U should know that the doctor is not who decides in his life its just his parents if they agree the doctor should circumcise him.The thing that is a cosmetic procedure isnt relevant if for example he wants to fix his nose and his parents agree the doctor should it.

I would definitely not want to get circumcised. I really love having my foreskin intact, I love having the head of my penis still be sensitive, sex and masturbating feels so much better with a sensitive head. And I find that it only takes a few seconds to clean under my foreskin in the shower. I mean it's your body, but I would advise against doing it to yourself at this age unless you really need to do it. Think about it, when you are a baby boy, if they cut your foreskin off you grow up with it exposed and over the years it grows tough and dry, and since it happened when you were little you didn't know any better. If you take it off now, it'll hurt like a bitch, also you are going to feel so weird not having a foreskin after years of having it. I say do what you want, but I still wouldn't do it if I was in your position.

Its up to you.

Having cosmetic surgery, which circumcision is in your case, it is a risk. When you take a risk sometimes good things happen and sometimes bad things happen. If you don't take a risk nothing happens.

Would you be happy going through your life not kniwing what it is like to be circumcised?

Due to medical issues, I'm being circumcised in March
Good luch to you!

I personally don't see the point, but if you really want it go for it, but you can't get it back
