Please Help me...

There's this guy in my school who cuts himself, lets call him Mike. Mike does extremely stupid things, especially around his stupid friends. So anyways, he openly tells everyone that he cuts himself, he even makes jokes about it. And his other stupid friends act out and do stupid things, even when its just me and that other person alone. But, I can tell Mike's different. Whenever it's just me and him, he has a really nice and calm attitude. Trust me, If you were with him alone you would think to yourself "This guy actually does all of these stupid things?" So I need help on how to talk to him and show him that he can talk to me about anything, but at the same time not coming off too strong and making him think that I have feelings for him [Which I don't].
