Also, this is embarrassing to add but I may as well- If you think you're straight but you get turned on by the opposite sex.. what does that actually mean?

Straight usually does mean you are attracted to the opposite sex, i.e. if you're a boy you are attracted to girls and if you are a girl you are attracted to boys.

Or did you you mean "the opposite sex from the one I would expect to be attracted to", i.e. as a boy being turned on by boys?

People tends to assume it is all or nothing, i.e. a straight guy is attracted to girls both romantically and because they turn him on and has absolutely no romantic or sexual interest in other guys whereas for a gay guy it would be the opposite way round, i.e. attracted to boys both romantically and because they turn him on and has absolutely no romantic or sexual interest in girls.

In practice it is not so black and white. People can have some level of attraction to both sexes. You could look up the Kinsey Scale for one take on this. Also there can be a difference between who you are romantically attracted to, i.e. with whom you might have relationship, and who you might just enjoy doing sexual things with.

It's not weird at all! Nearly everone has at last one out of the box thing that turns them on. And as for your sexuallity, everyone goes through phases, so dont think that you are the only one.

We all have all kinds of turn ons. Seeing or thinking about a lot of things are all kinds of ways to be turned on. If you are turned on by the opposite sex that means you're a normal straight guy. Even being turned on by the same sex doesn't make you bi or gay either.

Did you mean to say you "DON'T" get turned on by the opposite sex? Otherwise your second point doesn't make sense. Anyway, it's normal to get turned on by a variety of things, some aspects of the same gender or opposite genders. And different parts of the body turn on different people....all within normal range.

a lot of people get turned on by a lot of things so its not weird and doesnt make you weird because it happens to you. Also, even though some people are straight (or gay even) they can get turned on by something about the same or opposite sex, but it doesnt mean anything really. Its mostly hormones causing it and with time youll notice things beginning to change for you and you wont be so turned on by so many things.
