Yep. I just got a couple shock doctors with cup for baseball. I used to use compression shorts and switched over to the jock. Holds everything in place much better and I feel a lot more protected.

I bought one for a basketball camp that said it was mandatory but then nobody wore them. Still have it just in case I ever need it. Imo the only sports you definitely need them for are the two sports I never played - baseball and hockey. And even there it's for the cup not really the support. Football is iffy - I never wore one the one season I played.

If you mean the old thing with the butt leg bands I never wore a jockstrap. I wear compression shorts. One has a cup pocket for playing lacrosse. No friends wear jockstraps that I know of.

Yes, my family wanted me to play football so my dad went out and got me a few but I don't play I just wear them as underwear now. Feels kinda nice really.

You just measure your waist, the pouch is basically the same for all of them. They have youth size ones if you're still kinda undeveloped (the pouch or cup is smaller) but that's really the only difference.

I think they support better than anything else out there... For me compression shorts are real tight around my legs but I feel like my junk still moves around in the crotch area. Jocks do a better job holding everything up and in. There's less material and the pouch part is a lot tighter than other underwear.

I mean they're not as comfortable as like boxers or something... It's meant to basically restrain your junk, so yeah, they're tight and a little uncomfortable, especially at first. But I like that a lot better than things swinging around when I run and stuff. I heard your balls get sore and can actually twist sometimes if they swing around too much so I guess it's protection too.

bike, duke and McDavid are the best for athletics. I have never found a pair of compressions that were comfortable. Even UA is good but not worth the $$

I'm now using a shock doctor cup and jock strap for baseball. I find that since I've grown downstairs and that I'm usually catching that it allows me to move better and stays in place better than when I was using UA compression/slidershorts with a cup. I use it only for baseball.

Yeah compression shorts don't seem to cut it for me... Like they just bunch up on my legs, and the crotch isn't tight enough to keep a cup in place, or just support things. Jocks are awkward at first but the straps hold the pouch and/or cup in place a lot better. If it's colder weather or I want the support on my legs, I'll wear the shorts over a jock.

try wearing just a regular one.. without the cup. a whole lot more comfortable for general use. Baseball is the only one you should wear a cup too.

Wow, that's hard to imagine. Cuz depending on what I'm doing or if the weather is warm, my buttcrack sweats a little. A jock has nothing to absorb that. I wear support sports shorts. Never a jock.

Nice., Just the jock or both? What brand you like the best? I like the bike wideband ones the best for workouts. Running I have some duke narrow bands which are really good support and cool to run in.

yea dude. there not the most comfort but you wear it a while they do fit and feel pretty good , supportive if you get the right one and size. Took me a few weeks to where I started wearing often. just try wearing it more often.

just have to try them for a while and yes they are tigth. Give it week or so wearing for gym and sports and you will prefer them I bet.

Yeah I normally wear boxers too, so I thought they were like so tight and uncomfortable at first. But I guess for me feeling constrained is better than bouncing around when I'm doing athletic stuff. I still wouldn't wear them for stuff besides sports, running, PE... would rather hang loose for everyday wear!

I'd guess a third of the guys in PE wear a jockstrap. I don't understand how some of the others can just wear their boxers. It would drive me crazy to have my dick and nuts bouncing around like that if I didn't wear a jock.

Yeah they make youth sized ones. The waist size ranges are smaller than the adult ones, and the pouch is cut smaller too.

most important to get the right size .. not too loose or too tight. Wear a few times and get use to wearing one , you will find there really very comfortable. Different brands have different pouches so if you don't like one style try a diff. brand.

Dad got me Jock & Cup years ago for Lacrosse, used it for one season, and hated it. Friend gave me a pair of Compression Shorts with cup pocket, like that much better.

So got my own for the rest of my LAX career that ended last fall. When I got hurt in a LAX game, and the HS coach more or less said I don't have the "Body Mass" to play LAX at the HS Level, If I was on the team I would get very little playing time.

My LAX Teammates are like 1/3 Jockstrap/Cup 2/3 Comps/Cup.
