A British airline said on Monday one of its flights was forced to divert to Turkey after the co-pilot died in mid-flight.
GB Airways said the flight, carrying 156 passengers from Manchester to Pathos in Cyprus, landed in Istanbul on Sunday after what was termed a medical emergency on the flight deck. The co-pilot was pronounced dead once the plane had landed.
The co-pilot's name and age and cause of death were not released, but the airline said he had died of natural causes.
The airline said passengers were never in danger. They were due to be flown to Cyprus on Monday.

lol at that,
but yeah that must be kinda scary for the crew cause if the captain died or fainted or something, they'd be stuck.
but everything went ok :) apart from the co-pilot dying :(

Last time I checked, it was going to BD. It was BA's originally, but I didn't hear anything about EZ putting in an offer. Interesting....

haha. Love to see that. That has happend to me when we were going to Rhodes, and were booked in with ECA (Fav. Airline) and all 138 of us were confused when a CY A320 pulled up, until we found out UI had leased it :P

It was weird!!!

:P Yeah, I think theres still rarely 1 or 2 of those!! They put em on YYZ-YVR, and YYZ-FRA now. They used to send A319's to LHR from YYT. That was the funniest thing I ever did see!!

LX and LH use 737 and 319 from ZRH-JFK, IAD, and DUS and FRA-YYZ lol
I thought it was great when I saw more AA and AC planed in LHR than BA haha

LH bought LX, so they do a lot of codeshareing. LH / LX codeshare an all buisness class flight on Privitair to JFK and IAD, but FRA - YYZ on LH is either an A340-600 or -300
